Whatever...thanks for drawing my (and I am sure others) attention to something that was neither clear or generally known or understood. Knowledge as always is power.

teelack,when you travel next time,ask the agent what the difference is between direct & nonstop fights.If they say same-same,tell them they are in the wrong line of work or ask if they slept through that day of class (if they indeed attended any formal training).

My next visit will take me to either Detroit,Atlanta,Minneapolis or JFK and then Narita.I will make a point to play dumb and ask that question.I will also ask at Swampy on my return.But of course this will be on my airline so hopefully I won't be disappointed by the replies.I am nearly positive you will get the wrong answer from Air Asia,Bangkok Airways,Cebu Pacific,ect,but if you ask a major carrier,I believe you will you have a better chance for the correct answer.
