In the uk I am an NVQ assessor, plant instructor, health and safety advisor, I have a long history of working in the piling industry, but totally pissed off with the uk, and the bloody idiots that are trying to run it.

Question, how do I go about finding work in Thailand, I would consider anything legal that pays enough to live.

There must be someone on here that has done the same, advice please.

Rob.

First you will need to put together a very good CV and upload it onto many different Expat websites along with certificates you have etc. Then apply like everyone else. Bear in mind that there are 100s of jobs and thousands of people applying for them. Alot of applicants are from Asia and they work and live on a lot less than you would like to earn, I would suggest with what you have said - you look at finding work over in East or West Africa and then either live in as Expat or rotate in/out

Well you specified you wanted to work in Thailand.... not a good start as it suggests to me 'work' isn't your primary motivation. It likely will to employers too. If you are already financially secure enough to come to Thailand, you could do what others do, come here, open a bar, get skint, go home.

You should consider a few years working wherever the work is, it gives you time to earn some tax free money and get international experience, before getting picky. As Mick says, and he does, work wherever they send you and make Thailand a base. There are a lot of guys who have.

Get yourself registered with some of the international job agencies, ensure your CV is a good one.

Here is one to start you off....but beware, I have been retired nearly a decade so am out of date.
