Which organization was the 1st to offer a three year warranty on LCD ( Liquid Crystal Display) monitor?

These days, I just discovered out most of the LCD ( Liquid Crystal Display) monitors from many organizations now carry a three year warranty! I have not modified myself with the market for a while, so it was a pretty surprise (good one) to me. I have been considering it's still regular one year warranty.

 

And then I instantly became inquisitive of which organization started this trend and when. Can someone who have kept a record of the market let me know? I could not find much details from Search engines regarding it.

I recall, years ago, that the same item in the states had a lesser warranty than the identical item did in Canada. It was later was pointed out to me that the Americans had an optional warranty and we Canadians were basically forced to buy it hidden in the ticket price.
