Thai Airways crash Bangkok Airport 8th Sept

Recommended Posts

This is standard practice through out the airline industry. It would be unusual if

the airline involved didn't cover up their logos, or even slap a coat of paint over

most of the aircraft, if the wreckage cannot be immediately removed from public

view.

It's not standard practice to blame your Alliance, in this case Star, which is what Thai did.

T.I.T. What did you expect, this is Thailand.

As to the media, well, most of them wouldn't know a Cessna from a Concorde, and the ones that do, still get it wrong more often than not.

The linked article in #20 is from a aviation trade publication. The comments suggest the practice is widespread but hardly universal. Apparently Southwest Airlines did it at least once which would be dumber than dirt as their paint scheme is extreme distinctive.

I read on Thai Visa that the recent crashes of planes, trains and auto buses can be put down to ghosts. Evil or disgruntled spirits deprived of their fizzy green drinks and marigolds.

Since the 'Ghostess' was spotted dressed in a traditional Thai gown..(spookily like the Thai airways staff's night uniform), helping passengers off the plane....It's also come to light that a painting of a spot in the North, the site of 15 train crashes features a small obstacle on the track....Case solved then! The painting will be touched-up and fizzy drinks and marigolds for the spirits on the Fat Controller!

'Swampy' long thought cursed because of the ten year build delay is home to so many spirit houses that they have actually built a condominium to provide for all the homeless ones. More to be built and more ceremonies both pleading and thankful at Swampy.

With all these spirit houses it's ironic that the Swampy doesn't, (unlike every other major airport in the world), have a crises room for passengers. They had to hang around outside while the spirits went home for a kip.

So lads, when you get in a taxi and can't see through the windscreen for all the driver's good-luck charms. Or you're on final approach in a Thai Airways jet cross your fingers.........You might as well!
