The End of the Penitence

Recommended Posts

For those who live here, with a Thai partner, you may realise that Buddhist Lent ended yesterday. My partner marked the occasion with a few Regency and Sodas, her first alcohol for the 3 month season. Many do actually give up something, alcohol being a common one, but in Pattaya one might not notice.

Did your partner give up anything...... ?

How did she mark the end of the season.

I wonder if the restaurants might be busier tonight, it is of course coinciding with Eid al Adha, the Islamic holiday.

I went with the now ex TGF to Wat Chaimongkol the morning of the end of Lent where it was farangs 1 and Thai ladies 900.

It's an OK ceremony if a bit packed in there.

They all buy little fish and release them in that algae ridden pond on the ground, I suspect to the delight of carnivores already in that pond.
