Hi guys,

I´ve allready been once to pattaya now and while being there I came across this beautifull resort Cabbages & Condoms, I had dinner there and was amazed by the beauty of this resort...

Here´s now my question for all of you much more experienced los-travellers!!!!

Although  I wanted to stay there on my next trip there are a few things which might make it ipmpossible for me to stay there....

- do you know if there is any joiner fee...

- although it´s only a 5 minute bus drive from south pattaya, would the girls mind going there, would it be too "far" away for them, specially going back in the morning...

- has anyone of you guys stayed there before and can share a little more informations on staying in this resort...

I know it´s more pricy than a lot of other places in pattaya, but for me it seems to be the perfect combination of haveing fun through the night and an excellent place to stay during the day...

I would appriciate all your comments, and I´m sure it will make my next trip even a better one than my first one...

thank you all

tim

just two quick notice:

1. Because of the location you will have great problems with the bbuses even at the night time.

2. I personally like far destinations from the city, the girls never had any problem with it. If they have, better to avoid them, it shows they just want a rabbit fuck. ( I take the girls for short time and after the first action start to think about the long time )

;D I Love Cabbages and Condoms I spent 14 days there in December 2001. I found it to be one of the best places to stay the food and service was excellent.

Pros. :)

1 - No joiner fees and the staff treated the girls with respect

2 - Food the restaurant is mid. priced and excellent quality

3- Private beach

4- Spotlessly Clean

5- Walk to the beach

Cons. ;)

1- Location to far from the action 70 baht to beach road ( no problems with transportation but you need to walk over to the front of Pattaya Asia hotel )

2- no pool but your right on the beach

humbleman,

You must have missed the pool. I've seen one. It's located in the proximity of the restaurant.

Been there 2 times and left late at night. 1 or 2 Baht bus were waiting out on the main road. 60 baht back to RG.

I've thought about staying C&C or at Sugar Hut (PIC owners same same).

Will definitely be visiting these restaurants again.

handle,

The owners are in fact brothers.  Meechai, the guy behind C&C (through the PDA), was previously the Health Minister.  He has the dubious distinction of the Thais calling condoms meechais in his honour.  Sunya, the marathon running addict, is the guy behind PIC and Sugar Hut.  The family's story is pretty interesting - their mother is a Scottish doctor - and they are held in high regard almost everywhere.

pat809,

Basically, it is turn right about 50m after you reach the crest of Big Buddha Hill.  It's about 600m down that road, opposite the Asia Hotel - ideal if you want to do a bit of golfing on the Asia's par 3 course.

The link to their site is:

The suites look nice, if a bit pricey.  I have e-mailed to see what sort of rate they will do in August.

Regards,

Tom

LOL

...and the room rates quoted were about what you'd have paid for a week !

Nice, but I do think  + Bt 8000 a day is just a tad pricey!

thanks guys for all of your replies  :) specially humbleman for giving all the details, also concerning the joiner fees  ;)

well about the price, sure you get cheaper places there, but when I had dinner there, in march this year, I asked about the prices at the reception and they told me the regular rate for a Seaview deluxe One Bedroom (King Size Bed) will be 3 100 Bath, but the price can be negotiatet...

so I think I will give it a try for my next stay...

@HUMBLEMAN

would be glad if u can tell me how most of the girls responded when they discovered that your hotel is not that close to south pattaya, got any problems with them in the sense of demanding more mone for the taxi e.g.

thanks for your reply  :o

Tim,

When I stay off the baht bus route I'll give the girls a little extra for transportation.  If there are any Thai motorbikes guys around the girls usually prefer them and 40-80 baht will usually get them back to their room.

Tim Just like Emils says just add a little extra for transportation.

I did have problems with the baht bus driver not knowing where Cabbages was located so I would tell them to take me to Asia Pattaya hotel and then just walk over

P.S. If you decide to stay there please post a trip report on the hotel. When I return next year I may want to stay a few nights there.
