Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I am thinking of staying here for a week or so on next visit to Los. Unable to find any reference to it on Hotel section.

Does any one have any information, observations to make about the place? I will have a TG with me for entertainment purposes.

I assume that there are money changing facilities (other than hotels) and internet cafes in the area.

Any information would be much appreciated. ???

Growler,

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks about a year ago (thought I did a review), no joiner fee when I stayed there, but it is kind of far down Jomtien beach. Paid 1000B per night breakfast incl, nice hotel. Last time  I stayed at Jomtien Thani newer hotel fairly nice also but much better location, price about the same. I saw the Jomtien Boathouse being built, great location and looked nice, that where I think I will stay on my return.

Thanks for replies gentlemen. Conflicting views re joiner fees.

I want to stay in a hotel with a fitness centre so that rules Jomtien Boathouse out. Jomtien Thani has one but website mentions TV. No indication as to whether it is cable or otherwise. Grand Jomtien Palace also has fitness centre but well down like Welcome JB. I presume the bath bus passes these hotels.

Decisions, Decisions.  :-/

About the joiner fees. Last year I lived in the Sigma resort and when arrived with TGF they wanted to receive money for the guest. I explained them with a big smile, that I bought the room, not per person. Congratulated them for the nice try and walked to my room. No more attempt.

Growler,

On my last trip I booked the Grand Jomtien Palace, as I had seen it before when I was staying at the Welcome Jomtien, it is just about as far down but it is right on the beach. The buildings are in the shape of an upside T so the only place you can really see the beach is form the rooms right in front, so I booked a delux room ( I always book a double, so thats may be why I have never had a joiner charge) on a high floor at the front. Well thats what I got. The only problem was that they were 2 beds and I had requested 1 King or Queen bed not 2 twins, the hotel staff then informed me that these rooms in the front only come with 2 beds, but they would put them together for me. Well after one night thats when I moved to Jomtien Thani. Jomtien Thani has cable TV but not the biggest selection of channels, they do however have a nice sauna, so now the TG's know what I fell like everyday, lol. Some of there reactions in the sauna are priceless.

Gammon,

Many thanks for the information re Grand Jomtien Palace and Jomtien Thani. I guess if there is nothing on TV the sauna will provide entertainment. :)
