Hi all,

Has anyone stayed in the Koenig Hotel (Soi Yensabai)

recently ??.. Recommended ??  Visited their website and looks very nice and beautifull...  How about their guestpolicy ?? Is it possible to take 2 girls with you back to the room ??

Any other good suggestions about hotels (guestfriendly) in that area are welcome.

Thanks, Tweety.

Tweety,

This place only opened this past November.  I'm giving it a try on my next trip for a week and will be there on the 13th.  When I return I'll post a review in the hotel section.

Tweety,

Although I'm only going to be in the Koenig 1 week, I'm staying in Pattaya until 14 Mar and won't be able to write a review until after I return.  If you do decide to book a room make sure you ask for a room with a large bed.  If you look at their floor plans, most show twin beds. I'm pretty sure the place is guest friendly for at least 1 companion.  You could always inquire in your email to them regarding 2.

Emil,

Thanks.. Just got email back from Koenig Hotel already.

All rooms have kingsize beds nowadays and no problem

taking 2 girls back home for the night (as long as they

suit in your bed:-)..

They seem to have very flexible and easy-going rules,

even with check-in and check-out times.. No rip off as

they call it. Sounds good..

Anyway, will make my reservation there also for early

March. Put my review about it once I am back home..

Tweety.  :)

I stayed at the Konig Hotel for 3 weeks, Jan 18th to Feb 7th.

No guest fee's, girl leaves ID at bar. You can bring 3 or 4 girls back to the room if you want. Eddy the manager is a great guy. He has 2 girls that work the bar and front desk during the day, Ann & Mak. Both great girls.

At night he has a few more girls that do everything from front desk to bar. 1 or 2 will bar fine only if they like you.

This is an excellent hotel and as mention all brand new. Its a 5 min walk to FLB and 6 or 7 mins to Misties.

If you can get the corner suite, massive bed and the largest rooms. Rooms 104,105,204,205 ect..

If ya need more info let me know.

Thanks Wardog,

I made the reservation already for 4 nights at the Koenig Hotel.. Counting down the days already now

before arriving:-)

Seems to be a relaxed and easy-going hotel (and owners)... As that's the impression I got from some email-conversations with them...

Not bad as they have some girls working there at

night who can be "available".. Life can be wonderfull:)

The odd bhat bus does go by and there is also a motorbike taxi stand across the street. But if ya walk to the end of Soi Yensabai heading south you will find 100s of bhat buses also on  2nd road. I never had to use a taxi as the walk to the FLB was only 4 or 5 minutes.

For the big corner suite i payed 800bt a night. They have saftey deposit boxes at the front desk. 1000bt deposit for the key and you get the 1000bt back when your time is done and you return the key. So ya know for sure you have a bit of money when ya leave to the air port:)

I'm staying here now.  I have one of the corner rooms and paid 600 a night for a week.  A few things not mentioned is there is no pool and the bathroom only has a shower with no curtains. That the only negative, everything is new and they have the large refrigerators in the room.  Another option closer to Phratamnak Rd is the Marine Yensabai Mansion.  It's only 1 month old and I got a rate of 665 for 3 weeks.   Have to go now and check out a few Go-gos.

I have reservations for 10 days starting on the 27 of Feb and will write a full report afterwards.  It sounds nice on the website.  A few questions for those who have stayed there:

1.  How is the restaurant and what are the restaurant hours?

2.  Is there a market nearby (7-11 or something) to stock up the refrigerator.

3.  With a restaurant, I presume they have room service?

Thanks

Mike

Emil,

How's the surroundings of Yensabai ?? Isn't it any problem to walk alone there at night regarding safety ?

As I heard different stories before about that part of

South Pattaya... My ex-TG lived in Soi VC, which is

pretty near.

Richerts: guess you gonna be there at almost the same time as I do.. So in case you see a Dutch boy walking there, it's probably me:)

Guys,

Small restaurant, but I haven't tried it.  About the safety, I feel safe walking to the room.  This street has many little Thai shops, larger 7-11 would be on South Pattaya Rd ( approx 100 meters) or Phratamnak Rd (approx 200 metters).  Koenig is a small place, I think about 24 rooms.  The Marine Yensabi is a much larger place and when finished will have a disco on site.  The 665 rate applies to stays of at least 2 weeks, again no pool, but balcony and large bathroom with tub.

  • 4 weeks later...
  • 1 month later...

I stayed at the Koenig in March and was very happy with my choice.  The rooms were large and very clean.  The aircon worked well and their was plenty of hot water.  An easy and safe walk to 2nd road and to Walking Street.  The staff and the owner were outstanding.  They were a lot of fun and were a great help to me.  They were breaking ground for a pool when I left.  Does anybody know if it is completed yet?? I paid 600Baht including all taxes and the girls liked the place too.  A good deal.

Thanks
