Pool at Diamond Beach Hotel

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a hotel closer to the action. I tried Flipper Lodge but they only had standard rooms left. So I am now looking at Diamond Beach. Scruffys Closet says that the pool area is in bad shape has anyone been there recently? Is it still in bad shape.

Thanks

I normally always stay at the Diamond Beach Hotel. Ive stayed there about 5 times and been very happy with it.

Last October I came out with a friend of mine and we stayed at the Diamond beach and had a nice sea view room each for 1000 baht a night.

In June I came out again for 2 weeks. I called the hotel a few weeks before flying out and was told I could have the same nice sea view room. On arrival, I was told that all the sea view rooms (which were the nicer ones in the hotel) were being renovated. I settled for one of the smaller rooms. One morning after about 3 days I got up and put on the swimming shorts, went to the rooftop swimming pool, only to find the bloody thing had been demolished! I was just a bit pissed off. I checked out the following day and went to another hotel. Im back in November, and on advice from the lads at the FLB Im staying at the Residence Gardens. Im somewhat put off the Diamond Beach now!
