I will be in Pattaya soon,   This time I would like to try new hotels.

 

I read some reviews about this place;

The guests are suffered from construction noises and some are stolen maney and jewelies while they are out.

 

Do anyone have recent info about this hotel ?

There's a new AA on Soi 13 near 2nd Road and in March  2002 there was a new highrise building going up next to it.  The construction noise led me to find another hotel after one night in the new AA.  Also, there was new construction just starting on the property adjacent to the Haven Hotel.  Pile drivers, trucks unloading equipment, etc., etc.

 

So, has anyone checked the noise level on Soi 13 recently?

 

To be fair, some folks reported that the rooms on the East side of the new AA were quiet.  I had a corner  front room right next to the construction.

Yes, I am talking about AA hotel in soi 13.

Uhm, it may still lasting constructions.

OK, I  will go, and check whether is it still under construction.

 

Case of the theft, I heard some guests were stolen money and jewels.

I  am worried the theft maybe the hotel stuff.

 

I stayed Nova Lodge in 1997.   I was asked to pay for some bottles of juice or coke that I didn't drink.  

My friend had same problem in 1997.

I suspect some hotel stuffs stole the juices.

I read the reviews in the review page and surprised by finding many still  had the same problem things added to the bill at the last minute.  

The  same stuff may still be stealing juices.

The AA Residence Hotel is just up from the old AA Hotel on the opposite side of Soi 13 (take note Scruffy) and under the same management

I stayed for 8 days in February 2002 see my review in hotel reviews - hotels over 1000 baht

It was very nice with nice big new rooms  I stayed in a junior suite for 1200 baht  There is as mentioned heavy construction going on next door but after the first night moved to room on the other side and it was very quiet  There is a really nice pool on the roof

I never heard about anything been stolen from the rooms  there are safety deposit boxes at reception

I would reccomend it providing  you stay on other side from construction

I just got back from Pattaya and construction is still going on there and also next to the Haven I noticed that construction is going on in many Soi's in Pattaya right now so take care about hotel choice

Didn't realize there was another "AA" hotel on Soi 13.   I stayed at the old one in November 2001, and walked up and down that Soi many times without seeing it.   I do remember the Golden Crab being on that side, but must have missed AA Residence.

Scruffy AA Residence apparently opened in November 2001 Its almost directly opposite The Sportsman pub/restaurant.
