Residence Garden Inn. Where are the quietest rooms

Recommended Posts

I'm cursed with being a very light sleeper.   For those that have stayed here...... where should I request the room?  I would like to stay in the new wing (Garden) if possible as I've heard that's nicer.  I usually try to avoid poolside as there's always someone partying late at night.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

All the rooms are pretty much the same Casper.  Living room in the fron and bedroom in the back.

I checked for noise and couldn't hear a thing in the bedroom. I know your a fussy sleeper but I think you'll be fine in any room at the Residence.

Casper,

I stayed there recently and since the bedrooms are in the back of the floor plan and away from the road there is no noise.

Even in the living room, which is in the front, you can't hear the road.

Only when you sit on the balcony can you hear the road.

Hi Casper

I have stayed at the Residence Garden/Suites 3 times now.

The only slight noise disturbance is from the road and then only when sat by the pool.

In terms of what you are talking about, ie within the rooms, I can honestly say that this was not a problem.

Liz unfortunately became fixated with the sound of a cockeral crowing in what might be fairly described as an unreasonable hour by those of us that had been out partying to the small hours, (crackdown what crackdown ::)) but that's women for you :D  I personally can't say that I really noticed it until she brought it to my attention then, on the very rare occasion I heard it, I just smiled knowing that it was winding her up  ;D

The only thing that has changed since I last stayed there is all the FLB Members that are now wisely choosing to reside at this establishment.

If it is they that cause you to have a sleepness night then I guess you will kindly bring the matter to their attention. :D

PSP :)

I loved this hotel.  I was the one making all the noise whilst there so pologies to those punters I may havekept up. he he  Very clean hotel, noproblem wit guests either.  I was seen taking two tarts to my room  late one evening, and no sooner did I get into the room with my guests, and there was a knock on the door.  The desk employee said that I had to pay 300baht for the second guest.  I told her no problem, just add it to my tab.  A minute later the phone rang and the same lady said that because I was on the FLB special rate, that there would be no extra charge for guest number 2, and an apology was issued for any incomvenience she may have caused.  I thought that was very classy.  Unfortunately, the only inconvenience caused was on my behlf, because a man of my advanced age really has no business attempting to do two tilacs simultaneously, and those two tarts liked to have given me a heart attack. ha ha  Regards, Jimmybb

Jimmbb,

I was glad to hear that they didn't charge you for the second TG.

In the guest book that they have in each room they do state that in the one BR suites that there is no joiner fee for one guest, but if you bring a second guest there is a 300 BHT charge.  In the 2 BR suites there is no charge for 2 guests, but a 3rd guest does get an extra charge.

Justwasn't a problem Beach Boy, I wish that all hotels were as cool.  I had a real  problem at the Haven Hotel this trip, and while I was high on the place before, i simply would not, could not recommend  anyone to book there.  I would be happy to lay out the problem in a private enmail, but I dont think this is the forum for it.  Best Regards, Jimmybb

Hey, what happened to you at the Haven? Stayed there last July, and though I did not fully like the Hotel, I had never Guest Problems or witnessed somebody else having Problems with Guests ....

Maybe you wanna follow up this thread in the Members Forum?

I too am a light sleeper.  I stayed at the hotel a couple weeks ago.  My room was just up the stairs and near the elevator.  The steps and halls are tile and there was quite a bit of noise one morning and a little a couple other mornings.  Other wise no noise at all from the street etc.  I'd ask for a room away from the stairwell. Very nice place without hassles.  I had a couple minor problems in the room which were taken care of once I got around to telling the desk.

Glad to see that with FLB Members supporting this hotel that they return the support, in allowing multiple GFs to be brought back.

Will be staying there 8-16 Mar and from what I've read looking forward to it.   :D   :D

Remember to support the efforts of Ben by continuing to book at the Residence Garden!!
