Cathay Pacific BKK office service

I had a return to HKG on September 13 at 8:25 confirmed from August. Today I got a pre check in E-mail and I see my flight is at 6:40. I called the BKK office and asked why it was changed and they said the flight was cancelled August 20 due to low passenger count on Sunday's. I asked why I was not notified and she told me it was a free ticket and they don't notify these ticket holders. It was not a free ticket it was a milage ticket 108.000 miles JFK-BKK. So I asked if there was any later flights because I have a function to attend Saturday evening and my flight from HKG to JFK is at 19:00 pm. She then told me again it's a free ticket and I can't do anything about it. If I like to catch my 19:00 flight to JFK I better take the 6:40 flight. I'm so pissed off with their service here, have used Cathay since 2009 when Thai cancelled their direct flight from JFK to BKK. Luckily I used my last of my remaining 300.000 miles with Cathay and think it's time to look for another airline. The U.S. Airlines are out of question but there are many other good ones.
