Still struggling to book flights for wifey and me at the end of December before New Year. Looking to fly from Heathrow but all I can find is stopover flights on emirates, etc.

 

Have I left it to late. ?

If you fly with BA on the 30th Dec and return on the 13th or 14th Jan; this flight is around £600.00

If you cant get what you want, then ask to be waitlisted on several flights, though dont try waitlisting the same flight with different companies as they all end up on the same computer.

 

Many large Tour operators hold block allocations on many flights and when they see they cant sell them they will release them.

The one bit of good news is that if u've never flown them before then for my money Emirates are the best in the skies (Economy class that is).  A lot depends on your connections of course as if they have long layovers then it's prob a non-starter.

 

If I were you I would combine holding flights on Emirates for as long as you can get away with it along with Crackpot's suggestion of getting urself waitlisted on as many different airlines as fit reasonably within your desired dates of travel (and have realistic waitlists) and see what comes up whilst you still have the Emirates flights in reserve.
