Agoda has their 46 sq m apartment at $24 US in high season.

 

What am I missing, why is this so cheap? Is this a high crime area or something? Are the photos 40 years old with no maintenance since then?

You didn't give dates and no rooms available when I am there in January.

 

Did a search for September and a 48 sq m room on Agoda was $32. 5 rooms at that price.

 

Very cheap but off the beaten track. Agoda rates it 6.7 so just average at best.

View Talays do have a fairly good reputation. Coincidentally talking of them with friends only yesterday.

It was with a guy staying in the well located VT 5 and another across the Thrappaya road at the older VT2, so not sure wrt VT 4.

 

They all look the same, little boxes off a long prison corridor..

Bigger penthouses on the top floors are impressive though with great views.

Look for "VTR4 By Viewtalay luxury suite" in Agoda. It might be a different place than you are looking at. It doesn't seem to have a customer rating.

You are correct. My search was not identical to yours. Also no reviews but I expect it is much the same as the others.

 

I get $31 with that search for 46 sq m in September and no rooms available during my stay in January.
