Interesting to read the article about visiting your girlsfriend's family and the lack of suitable accommodation in rural areas - Isan in particular.  On a recent visit to Isan, I found the ideal accommodation run by an ex-pat and his wife.  A lovely guest house by a lake near Khorat.  The accommodation is very comfortable with western style facilities and the couple collect from Pattaya if required.  They will also take you to your private destination or take you on trips to places of interest.  I was very impressed!  The information can be found on the Pattaya ex-pats site - www.pattayaexpatsclub.com.  Go to Classified, then Guest House.

Have looked at the web site and it does looks pretty impressive.

 

Do you know much is it for the pick up and car ride from Pattaya to the guest house?

 

Also for evening entertainment of the BG variety  ;D can we 'dine' locally or is a Pattaya 'takeaway' recomended.
