Cheap flights for Oct.

Recommended Posts

Just checked out CheapAirlines.com and found some great deals from Toronto to Bangkok and JFK to Bangkok.

Just booked my flight today Toronto to BKK leaving at 10:00 am arriving the following day in BKK at 8:30 PM local time $1029.00 Canadian. This is on United and Quatas.

I booked my flight for November on United's website. $773.50 out of BWI and they give me a 1000 mileage plus miles for using their site. I could probably do a little better out of JFK but ground transportation or parking would eliminate any savings.

I fly United from Philly and that generally what I pay. In April I found a little cheaper fare with United $605. plus taxes. It had a 3 day advance and I booked it.

With gas prices so high, I wouldn't expect any cheap fares.

I booked my May '04 trip with about 2 weeks adv. purchase on United out of SFO for $650 (Tax incl.)... looking now for beginning of September, and I am finding fares around $750 for pretty much anywhere in the midwest on United. My home airport is Memphis, TN which NEVER typically has good deals, but United has been pretty cheap recently... all things considered.

I just booked thru Orbitz for Dec 11 thru Jan 2 and paid 832 for a roundtrip on United Air. I checked Uniteds webpage the cheapest they showed me from Pittsburgh in the USA was 3300 and arriving 2 days later. Orbitz was on United and arriving 1 day later. I usually fly northwest but this year their fares seem to be way above average price. Maybe I looked in the wrong spot on United for my dates they wanted to flie me all the way to Amsterdam then on to Bangkok. On orbitz it was Chicago Tokyo and Bangkok and artive 1 day sooner fotr a third the price???

Tangent,

Just booked for November 12. EVA Evergreen Deluxe Class. Friday Afternoon Flight. $900.50 taxes included. I will not waste my miles and upgrade from EVD class to business class on their 747 flights though. That was a waste of 30000 miles.

Wolfe,

Not sure where you are flying from out of the states. But, Philippine Airlines has a great deal! They fly LA to Manila, allow you stopover and then from Manila to BKK. Most airlines won't allow the stopover and want to charge as though it's two tickets. Give them a shot with your dates and see what happens.

I looked at their website, got the airfare and then called them directly. On the phone, the fare was $80 cheaper than the website!

Cheers,

Mark

OnMyWay Thanks for the tip unfurtunately I've already bought my ticket to Bkk from Pittsburgh PA. Since I won't arrive until 11:30 pm+ usually at least 1/2 to 1 hr late at arrival I never get thru customs until almost 1 amin BKK. So I'll probably do what I did last year stay in airport and pickup a ticket at Philipines airlines offices for about 320 USD for a total trip price of about 1150 USD. Have never been able to find anything online anywhere close to this price. Usually all want at least 1600 to 2500 USd. for the multicity trip.
