Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

There must be at least 50 posts about the Sandy Spring and they are all good. Just do a search and you will find them, there are also some reviews. Just go to the top and click hotels then follow the prompts.

They are guest friendly, but have started to be a bit price unfriendly IMHO.

Also, you should not the construction that just have started accross the road from Sandy Spring. It is noisy there at the time, and it will probably stay like that for a while.

Location is otherwise good though!

have emailed them 3 times and no reply.

No mate never had a problem. I stop there when ever I'm in Pattaya. It might be idea tho to ask for a confirmation of your booking.

Try this email address: info@sandyspringhotel.com

I found them responsive to emails but thought that their hotel was overrated. Last year we had a membership scheme giving discounts but no more (don't know whether memberships are still honoured).

As others posted, lots of noise now due to building works on that Soi but i don't know how the SS is affected. I moved out last year after one day.

So what is the general consensus regarding the Sandy Spring right now? I stayed there over New Years and liked it a lot, also liked the location, but I can't stand construction noise. I am gonna be getting into Pattaya around July 8th do you all think I should stay on another soi? Anyone there right now that can report on the noise issues?

I stayed at flipper lodge last year and thought is was alright although I liked SS better. Also I think I like staying not on soi 8.

Thanks in advance-

JB

I stayed there last month and the noise was horrible. Otherwise, I like this hotel and have stayed there three times previously. I never had a problem bringing tg in and the staff were always courteous. The Sportsman's bar right next door serves passable grub as well, and the location cannot be beat. James

crazy,

I just received a email from a friend (a fellow countryman of yours) that just arrived in Pattaya and had reservations at the Sandy Spring. As he arrived to check in, the work was in progress and he went in and cancelled his reservations and moved over to the Soi 7 and 8 area. We both stayed there in April during Songkran when the contruction was at a standstill and like the hotel. I had already cancelled my reservaton for the end of this month.

I will go by and take a look the first week of August and if it looks like the major pile driving will finished by Christmas will book a room for then.

I stayed at the Sandy Spring for a week from 27/6 and, apart from one morning when what sounded like an electric saw was going for about 30 minutes, was not disturbed by the noise at all.

However, given the state of the building works for the new condotel and the place just across the road, I may just have been lucky by being there between noisy phases of the works.

If you like the place (as I do) then give it a go. You can always check out and move somewhere else if you find that the noise is a problem.

Leo,

Beside the work that is in progress, Roland reported that they might demolish those beer bars and build another hotel, so keep that in mind.
