China airlines Premium econ

I read on another forum somewhere that China airlines are taking out the premium economy seats on the Amsterdam-Bangkok flight.

No doubt other well informed members will be able to add to this.

Apparently they are discontinuing the "Premium Economy" product and replacing it with the original Dynasty Class upgrade i.e. Lounge access, Dynasy Class food and service etc. Good news IMHO.

Have just travelled the AMS-BKK-AMS route on 4th and 27th June, and can confirm that there are First/Dynasty(Business)/Economy classes only.

I got an Economy to Dynasty upgrade using mileage on the outbound flight, and had lounge access at AMS, and I defy anyone not to be tempted by the free Heineken, tortilla chips, guacamole and salsa, they go very well together.

Seating is 2-3-2 on main deck and 2-2 upstairs

The seats in Dynasty class do not recline that much, but are comfortable enough, food was excellent and cabin crew very attentive.

They are increasing the mileage requirements for upgrades in October.

Re the October changes, it appears the free ticket wording has changed from Tapei

to the USA to the much better Asia to USA. Is my interpertation correct?

 

It seems that they'll be adjusting our mileage balances by 50% on Sept 30? Strange wording.
