I am coming to Pattaya early March 05 for 3 weeks on my way home from Oz. I've never had the pleasure if visiting Thailand before. I'm 67, and I have a reservation for Green Park resort from 11.3.04 to 05.04.05. I would like advice on the places to see and the places to avoid. I would also like to find a female companion (only 1) for about 14 days while I am there. Tom

The only plans you should make are your airline and hotel reservations. Anything else will just go up in smoke because, after all, This Is Thailand.

I can understand that you are not only excited about you first visit to LOS but want to plan ahead and absorb as much info as possible.

 

However, I cannot stress highly enough that plans, and especially at this early stage, are futile.

 

My recommendation would be to read this board (and others) on a daily basis, from which you will glean a great deal of information. Then perhaps make another post asking who is going to be around on your first night a LOT nearer the time - maybe a couple of weeks ahead.

 

Your best possible result would be to find an experienced LOS visitor who is willing to show you the ropes on your first night (and if I am around at that time, which is highly likely, then I'd be more than happy to do so), and then, familiar with the lie of the land so to speak, you'll be "good to go".

 

If you draw a blank on the guide front then the FLB as a starting point is a very good second option.
