  1. Welcome aboard Mulphy. I'll be staying just around the corner from your place in February so will nip in for a beer or two. And I noticed in another post that you are a Weegie? Are ya a Bead rattler or Tango man?
  2. I know someone who had a look in the aircraft a few days after the first of them arrived from Manilla (where it was refurbished). 100%wrong ? Lets have a look. It IS an A330-200 series They ARE all ex QF aircraft. You DO pay for food, booze, softdrinks, pillows, blankets, entertainment etc Not the same seats as on QF 747's. "Based on" doesnt mean the same. I concede they are similar but not the same. Not sure what legroom difference is between QF and JQ. So does the above equal 100% wrong?
  3. They are using old Qantas A330 (200) airbuses which have been repainted and had the interior changed to be more in line with the budget airline they are(read NO frills). The seats are leather but there aint much substance to them (not solid, pretty thin). Not much leg room and the seats are pretty narrow as well. You have to pay extra for food, tea/coffee, booze, pillows, blankets, inflight entertainment and pretty much everthing else. I think it would be okay for a short flight, something like Melbourne to Auckland would be bearable. 8 hours Melbourne to Bangkok and longer to Phuket? Not this little black duck. I'll pay the couple of hundred dollars extra and fly Singapore Airlines. Just my opinion.
  4. Maybe you are not as full of shit as everyone thought.
  5. If your heading down Soi 6 towards Beach Rd there is a pizza place on your left hand side just about at the very end. Called the Stone something (stone oven maybe?). Can't remeber exact name, sorry. But the pizza's were exceptional?
  6. Welcome aboard mate. I think you'll like it here. We do !!!
  7. It not the size of your smiley that counts, its what you do with it

  16. Speaking of PMS or PMT as it used to be known, would you dare to fly this airline? They based in Cambodia.
  17. A friend of mine used to work for them as a flight attendant and she rates them pretty highly. I know a few people who have flown them and all have given positive reports.
  18. Thanks for the info Paul. Will book with you for Feb as soon as I have some dates sorted. How was your holiday in Oz?
  19. Great stuff Kevin. Its even funnier cause i can actually picture you standing at reception with one of your staff trying to explain that 7 day stay, trying to stay patient with steam starting to eb out through your ears. Don't pull too much hair out mate. You can't afford to lose much more. (I know, like I can talk)
  20. Next time I come back from the pub piised as a fart i think i'm going to check that link out again.
  21. Welcome aboard mate. Its a busy board with lots of info. Some of it is even useful!!
  22. Sounds too much like something out of The Simpsons for me.
  23. You could park a Harley between that first set of lips!!!
  24. Interseting BBC article from June this year has some info on layout. They are talking about having only 138 seats on board. No ecomony. Up stairs will be a full lounge set up. They still gotta find the money to set up. And having so few seats on such a large aircraft they better be hauling a bucket load of cargo or its gonna be very expensive. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/5121786.stm
