  5. Sandra Bollocks.... I mean Bullock
  6. I think the transit location will keep me off them, but they don't go into Manchester, UK anyhow.
  7. I heard of others being rejected when trying to use a Thai based foreign currency bank acount (equivalent to 800k+ baht), but in my case the bank letter was the important thing...Retirement Extension: In order to qualify for a 1yr 'extension' for retirement purposes, you must show an official Bank letter confirming a Thai bank statement in the amount of at least 800,000 baht So I guess if the bank issues the letter, that will suffice.

  10. Thanks for that post, I found it interesting and a useful read...Got myself on Ethiad business class in September and now I am quite looking forward to it. My usual carrier, Qatar, couldn't match their price and Ethiad throw in Limo pick-ups.
  11. Thanks, you just reminded me, I have that somewhere on my computer and completely forgot! I found a TM47, is that the one for 90 day reporting?
  12. I would not need to keep 800k in the bank, nor go through the whole extension process. No need to go to immigration to do 90 day reporting or obtain exit/re-entry permits. (That place in Jomtiem is a pain to get to..... the old Thrappaya road works put me off for life!) I know the big disadvantage is leaving Thailand every 90 days, but I do at least 2 UK trips anyhow, a Cambodia visa run or take the TGF to Singapore/Bali/Penang/wherever is easy. ( Keeps the booze shelf varied too!) This year is my first retirement extension, and with UK trips in May and September and a trip to Bali in January I wonder if it was worth the messing about. The Non-Imm O is easy in the UK and you can get 15 months out of it.

  14. I prefer him as a one-man-show (comic), very entertaining indeed. As to Lemony Snicket. I have to go with...(keeping it easy)... Jim Carrey
  15. Oh absolutely, the guy you deal with is pleasant and cheerful, and requires little of you.Although getting the necessary form from the desk at the door is sometimes more effort..... if there are no polite (and cute) trainees around. I have been given the wrong one sometimes too. I was tempted to let the retirement extension lapse, and get another Non-Imm O-multi when next in the UK, as I do get there twice a year.... but generally never in winter. Again that would eliminate the visits to Jomtiem, and the TGF loves to accompany me on a trip out between the UK trips.
  16. Thank you... Billy Connolly
  17. Thanks.... I dislike traipsing down there! Although I might be interested to see how Howard is doing...
  18. Just to confirm my thoughts, rather than get hit with some fine or other issues........ My 90 day reporting is due, but during the 90 days I left Thailand and returned on a single exit/ re-entry permit. Do I need to report on the 90 days after my previous reporting..... or 90 days after my entry into the kingdom? (Actually, I will be going out of Thailand again prior to the 90 days beyond my last entry... so I shall have to go get another exit/re-entry) Thanks...someone who did this at Jomtiem without a problem advise me!
