What do you mean..... generally one buys a return ticket? Certainly they are more expensive over that season, supply and demand, book early.

There is no problem buying it in Pattaya, it is in BigC and the beer distributors. It is more 'reliable' than Chang and less of a 'loopy juice'.....As mentioned a bit crisper and less sweet than say Leo..... Heinekin, Singha and San Mig Light are just silly prices these days. Tiger can be had quite cheap but for some reason not in the nightlife venues.

A collection of factors... above when I mentioned nightlife your comment was Beer bars have little impact on my life, but I like the odd GO-GO. Live music at say 'The Blues Factory', or a night infront of a big screen watching world cup football in AC comfort with beer being brought to me. We just had a 3 day music festival complete with big name bands and shootings! Soon we will have a 7 day songkran ended with a day of locked traffic and drunken maddness! Shit, Tom, I am going to come live down there... As to the question... the availability of tarts might be a deal maker on top of the other factors. I have seen enough of rural Thai lifestyle to know that isn't for me, and why settle for something in-between when I can have the best... warts and all. Tonight I will be in an airconditioned GO-GO with some cute little knickerless thing bouncing in my lap..... In Nakhon nowhere, it's bedtime at 8pm, after 3 hours of sitting in the dirt being bitten by bugs drinking warm beer. Sea fishing in a few days....

Well it isn't just a Tesco Tom... we got a Macro too!And the Tesco stocks shoes beyond size 42! I have the expats club which is a wealth of support and knowledge... English pubs if I need to...... English friends around with similar lifestyles. A few very good international schools for those that have kids. Immigration and vehicle registration services on the doorstep. A motorway nearby..... Great nightlife and restaurants abound. And lots of tarts... An airport just 1.5 hours away that goes to everywhere... Great medical facilities nearby and superior Bangkok ones not too far away. Wonderful tourist police to help us when we have problems..... and assistants who speak our language. I most certainly wouldn't want to live in a condo on 3rd Rd using public transport..... And the idea of living in big city like Bangkok or Nakhon Ratchasima repulses me... But the place is changing and heading in a direction that likely will force me to move on... I do hope my house increases in value in the meantime.

I live a little out of town and have been retired in Thailand for nearly 6 years. I travelled around Thailand for a year and ultimately decided on the Pattaya area. I didn't want to feel so Isolated from my Farang origins, language and everyday comforts, it's also nice to live near the sea. Later I moved out of town a little as the constant noise and hustle bustle didn't suit me. Permanent, well never say for-ever eh?

I have just switched back to the Rich Text Editor and it does indeed work now. Doesn't seem any different though! Later Edit..... I am going back to the standard editor. I can't block-select and delete with this Rich one!

Amazing....I tried [Ctrl+F5], nothing different.. Changed my primary DNS to 202.69.137.137, nothing different. Still per the picture.... The fact that some guys do get the Newspaper confuses me unless they are getting cached info and I am getting current, and someone has parked here. My ISP is TOT...... Bloody computers......

I have put a pic of where I am directed to in the Technical Problems forum as you can't post an attachment in here.(It also appears you cannot use the Rich Text Editor here either.....) Take a look there and see if you are being taken to the same place with Firefox/IE.

Over in the Nightmarch forum I have mentioned this. Another poster presumably out of Thailand says he can get to the Newspaper no problem... When I use this link (http://www.pattayatoday.net/) I go here, which isn't Pattaya Today. I am in Thailand.

That is odd, I am not being taken to Pattaya Today Newspaper by your link either.My link used to work and I don't think the www is the ussue. Perhaps my DNS? (DNS advantage)... although I get the same result with my default one, both Firefox and Explorer. Again end up on a page of links starting.. Sponsored listings for Pattaya Work: Methinks I am going via some Thailand filtering and redirection or goofed up proxy!?? Generally, the cancellation due date is 14 days prior to arrival at the hotel. It is a good reason for not paying up-front.
