  1. Joe answered...... you will have to clear customs at Swampy, so will have collected your bag. Air Asia do fly out of swampy, I would just drag my bag to the departures (domestic) and check in, not too far. (Air Asia do have check-in at International too, but I do not think you can use them). Bangkok Airways (Phuket and Samui) and Charters from Russia for U-Tapao.. I know there are some facilities to automatically transfer baggage for Phuket, as I have seen it offered. But when changing carriers, especially to a budget one that likes to make extra charges based on luggage, better to be sure and collect your own bag. You don't like getting hit by a firehose equivalent in the face?
  2. Yeah, you get 10 of everything else but only 5 slices of black pudding..... what's that about? My favourite was actually in Venezuela of all places, used to get served with the barbecues...morcilla....very nice. Morcilla de Burgos..............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  3. My wireless Internet is 54 Mbps.... And I pay a lot more....
  4. What they say and what they do are two different things.Websites in LOS are not always accurate...... never trust an internet timetable! Let's hear it from recent passengers as to whether they have seen walk-ons permitted or turned away when there was empty seats.. Methinks they would rather eat shit than turn down a fare...
  5. Weren't the Lira Italian and the Pesetas Spanish?Oh well what do I know......?
  6. Turn into Soi Siam Country Club road off Sukhumvit, cross over the railway line and on the right just after the corner is a 'sell everything made of plastic and other crap' type shop where I bought one of these chopped oil barrel BBQs.
  7. Give the guy a break, it's disturbing for him to be only drawing at Swansea.Hotel Reviews Hotels Forum..
  8. Sort of glad you have said that, I have been having problems posting which I originally put down to my internet or that I was trying a new DNS.I type my post in the window..... hit 'Add Reply', and I end up at the Forum List, with no post entered. It is happening about 50% of the time. The back button and a second attempt always seems to work normally.
  9. I was awaiting some good 'anti' puns but so far it has been an anticlimax.
  10. Could microwave it or put it in the freezer.....
  11. Some days less, maybe 140-160. We have normally 2 dishes and rice. The meat is somewhat better than a lot of Thai restaurants too, for example the laab moo won't have bits of bone, skin, nose, ears and intestine....and whatever... But you have a point, for 135 baht you can get aa plate of roast chicken, mash and vegatables that taste of nothing in 'The Seasider.'. My gal does a mean plate of ribs...
  12. Well I would have to go into my modem/router and program it.Getting a bit deep for the average Joe..... (not kicker, far from average)
  13. Don't fall for that line...... Actually when you settle down and build up a stock of condiments and whatever it can be somewhat cheaper and better. Markets on the other side of Sukhumvit are cheaper and my TGF whizzes off on the little bike each day we eat in, 250 baht covers a good meal and maybe the purchase of fresh fruit for breakfast and tangerines for a glass of juice.... Trouble is you need to get a live-in, then other costs raise their head.
  14. Now now Wac, the latest 747 is hardly like the earlier ones...... like the latest mini isn't like the awful original.Limiting the naming to 7x7 is somewhat restrictive for Boeing...... perhaps they will delve into alpha-numerics after the 797? I was intriqued by the claim that this latest 747 was more efficient than the A380, and the 787 is a 'new generation'... Boeing, the second best, seem to be heading in a sensible direction.
  15. I recall that the Polish housemaids in the hotel used mine liberally....... didn't help much...
  16. And that is your problem because?
  17. Plenty of choice but I like Best supermarket, near the Dolphin roundabout.
  18. Sir Winston scored for Harrow in extra time, but preferred fencing.
  19. Some of the hardwoods here won't be touched by termites, and teak is known to be well resistant, but you are right, once they get in, everything can be eaten away requiring a wood rip-out.My TGF would love this but regular wood treatment would scare me off. A labour of love.... This one has been around for a while.....
  20. I couldn't get comfy in either, there seemed to be hard bits poking me and the 'flat' position brought on a back ache. I agree the seats were better on the 777, but that was negated by brattish kids nearby that boarded in Qatar.
  21. Fools never differ........
  22. 20% pa return isn't so bad. Providing no taxes and the 1.5 million will be there when you decide to get out.
  23. LOL, well I guess they must be trucking them up the M6 then if they aren't ex Abu Dhabi too!
  24. I guess you mean on the Manchester leg?I flew Biz on Qatar and didn't feel much difference between the 2 aircraft, except one being bigger.... but more capacity is good!
