A friend of mine is going back to the US today because his bank will not let him use his ATM card in Thailand. He going to be looking at his options when he gets home. This could be a potential problem for many Expats.

I just got the Kindle Fire last week. Still learning how to use it. The color screen it great. I was looking through the online book store and accidently purchased a book. They do have a button to cancel if order by mistake so no problem. Later that day I had an email from Amazon thanking me for my purchase. ($12.99) Further down on the email showed a credit for the same amount. Seems they are quick to charge your account and just a quick to credit your account.

I had lost my license sometime ago and finially got around to do something about it. First up, police report. Sent GF to police station with passport. She came back with report, ready to sign. Next, doctors letter. We did this on the way to get license, about 10:00am. Just stop by any medical clinic and ask for driver license physical. Arrived, stop to make copies. (We also updated vehicle tax, 2 birds.) All done time to get in line. Same process as everyone else. No test, straight to picture. All done and back in Pattaya be 11:30. I went to Mike's last night with friend from Atlanta. He had huevos ranchero and I had chicken burrito. We also had chips, salsa and guacamole. Every thing was good. Service was good. My friend had a margarita and says they are the best he has tasted in Thailand. Overall would recommend and I am planning on going back.
