THIS was posted to me on another forum. Is there any BMs who have contacts in this field as I know very little about this see below To create a product website is usually quite fast cheap and cheerful... Problem is that by your description you will need am "engine" behind it to facilitate sales, payments etc - which is more expensive and time consuming (depend on the range of your products). You will then need someone to maintain it, update it and most importantly, do all the "behind the scenes" stuff to bump it up on the search engines. I have a mate here in BKK who does all this if you want. Thanks for this ,I know I will have to pay out some cash ,no issue if price is right ,I will do some forcast costing against system design /maintenace of system/product cost against sales= profit/time. When I have this information I will draft out what I require my website to do -
Plenty of work in Oil and Gas if you have right qualifications and experiance in this kind of work ,many xpats living here in Khon Kaen work in this industry 4/6 weeks on and 4 weeks off ,I have been trying to get into this field as a planning engineer ,I have the qualifications but due to lacking experiance in this industry I am still applying for jobs but still to find a job offer. Also some expats make a living in Thailand using the internet for their business. I am also looking into this now to keep me busy and making a little money on the internet ,at the moment Its in my mind only and I have started to do market research ,what do people want ,is it already on offer ,can I compete with the market ,can I produce the right product at the right price. Do I need to learn more skills to enable me to enter the business world on the internet. I think I may have found a niche in the market ,so at the moment I looking into this . So at the moment this is my work/project ,as I was a very good planing/cost engineer I am enjoying doing this and who knows if all goes well I may have a nice business working from my home here in Thailand. I think if you want something you will find but you must put time and effort to find this . If any other BM is making a living on the internet be great to hear from you ,maybe we can share some ideas together. I do think in next 2 months I may be ready to create a website ,then looking for best way to get traffic to my site ,so if any BMs can give me advice on website creation and traffic I would love to hear from you. You can PM me if you like

Steve As you already know for sure very little work here for falangs, unless you are owner of business ,and we know how hard it is to making money with your own business here in Thailand. Most falangs working here in LOS are school teachers, more will be wanted in the future but you may have to get teaching qualifications, this could cost you 100000 bhts with lots of study time to pass examination, unless you have already a good degree where some schools will take you on. Lot of the teachers here in good schools in Khon Kaen get around 30000 bhts month and some pay for housing and paid holidays. I agree pharmacy will be cheaper than private hospitals ,as private hospitals make good profit from their own pharmacy at the hospital ,but gov hospital and gov clinics i have found cheaper than pharmacy. For example 8mg blopress for blood pressure 30 bhts tab from pharmacy and 22 bhts tab from Khon Khon Gov Hospital

Know any Ladies looking for work
Dr Mick replied to THE DRUNKEN DUCK's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Lin says she would do for 10000 bhts month ,I said you would need more than this as I would need 20000 bhts month to stop in Khon Kaen for being a house father haha. Hope you find the right staff and success for your business in the future. Bob may see you soon as we may be coming on 18th Nov for 3 nights, trying to arrange trip to see my friend Mi Papa -
As living full time in LOS ,could not get insurance in UK , But you can if your stay is less than 6 months
-
No for the first year only when you are a new customer ,these are the waiting periods ,so if you get ill with the above mention after 4 months in which you have taken new policy out ,payment will be made straight away
-
I took out Maxi Care sorry the full cost to me including all Tax was 36500 bhts This was with 45% discount Discount for the following 20% Outpatient Exclusion 25% 40000 bhts Deductible Option You can even get more discount up to a total of 60% but thats paying 200000 bhts your self before making any claims ,I think this is to much. I think the AA insurance office in Pattaya can arrange insurance with LMG Pacific

I am now 57 years old ,been with Bupa for 2 years I change my policy with Bupa this year ,due to cost being 55000 bhts year ,Platium cover for a 3 million bht cover. I changed to LMG Pacific health care costing me 35000 bhts year ,but I said I would pay for first 40000 bhts , The only issue was due to reported to them I have slight high blood presue. I was requested to have full medical check up,this included 5 different blood test and a chest/heart xray. All results had to be sent to insurance company This was carried out at the Khon Kaen Ram hospital, cost about 1500 bhts As I was accepted for cover a refund of the check ups will be made to me The cover with LMG Pacific is for 5 million Bhts ,however with some Riders Will not pay for any treatment relating to blood pressure. This was same with my Bupa cover Also a month waiting period for other cover except accidents/emergency 4 months waiting period for tumors ,cancer, hemorrhoids, hernia,Tonsillectomy,Varicose vains So with all insurances pre existing conditions the company shall not cover any medical treatment resulting from any chronic diseases, injury or illness that have not been fully cured. In summary the insurance companies got us by our balls ,but I do think some insurance is better than none ,whilst I can still afford insurance i will still renew every year ,as not being insured before 60 years old ,some companies will not give you any insurance

Leo large bottles ,but drink from small glass with no ice

Woooooooooooo thats a bit harsh .Im suprised by your statement as Im sure many others are. It may be smokers who have to pay also the bar owners,im sure most BMs would not like to see this. Its Like saying, would it not be easy for Thai police to raid every bar where sex is for sale
-
I Think the anti smokers lobby has hijacked this topic haha My post was about where the best smoke rooms you have seen ,so the none smokers have gone off the post a little.
-
I thought strange as Lord Flash now living in the UK
-
Yes Harem ,some great lookers can be found here
-
Well I know some buildings ,hotels ,pubs ,ect do not allow smoking but some provide smoke areas. I remember the football world cup which I watch at the Pullman Sports bar in Khon Kaen Great smoking room ,good air extraction ,big 42 " TV and 3 big sofas Strange last week went to RAD go go complex ,use to have small smoke room but now room gone but allows smoking in toilets ,did not like as had these young working guys there who try to give you a shoulder massage when you trying to have a good smoke haha But last night was out at Khon Kaen Hotel night club where there were many 10/10 ladies dancing. The best thing is the smoke area next to the ladies toilets ,where many of the dancers pass to ajust their skimpy outfits ,happy toilet has glass windows ha ha But can not take to long for a smoke as my lady thinks im going for a real smoke with the ladies doing all the smoking lol So where is your place where you enjoy a smoke ,If you dont smoke Im sure you would still be standing in the smoke area at the Khon Kaen hotel just for the views and nice smiles

My Thai lady daughter has pottery piggy ,I let her put all the small change into it .

I THINK worth checking with Chan Tours ,can catch 2 buses a day ,one in day and a night bus. The bus is VIP ,book seats downstairs ,lots of room and reclimbing seats where you can get a good sleep. The bus will stop just outside Korat for 20 minute break ,then stop at Khon Kaen ,then I know it gooes to Undon Thani then it could go onto Nonk Kai ,check if it goes onto Nong Kai Takes about 8/9 hours to Khon Kaen ,then 2 hours to Undon and Nong Kai is about 30 minutes So will all the stops total journey should be about 12 hours .Cost Khon Kaen is about 500 bhts I think the train from BKK to Nong Kai takes about same time ,but you can book sleeper Catch 8pm arrive about 8 30 am next day first class sleeper just over 1200 bhts But if you are going to pay 1200 bhts for the train fly for about the same amount Fly with Air Asia from BKK to undon ,then taxi to bus station then catch bus to Nong Kai You will need taxi to BBK air port ,takes about 1 1/2 hours ,then waiting time at airport 1 hour ,1 hour flight ,then about 1 hour to Nonk Kai with the waiting in Undon should do trip in about 5 hours if all goes well See info below flight found for under 1000 bhts DepartFD3360 Bangkok (BKK) to Udon Thani (UTH)Thursday, 11 November 2010Depart 0725 Arrive 0825 825.24 THB1 Guest @ 825.24 THB 164.77 THB

Hi Alf can help a little As I have slight high blood pressure avg about 140/90 I take 8mg of candesartan cilexetil I have taken two manufacturing types ,the first one was very cheap to buy here in thailand, but did not agree with me For last 2 years I have now taken BLOPRESS ,which seems to manage aand control my blood pressure without any ill effects ,SEE Pic Im sure you can get in Pattaya as I get mine from my local clinic here in Khon Kaen, clinic run by the Khon Kaen general hospital Part of my management / control of my blood pressure is to go to the local thai clinic ,get blood pressure taken every 2 months ,see doctor who then prescribe my med for two months . Will shock some BMs ,this service is free all i pay for is the tablets . Price of Tabs are 22 bhts each from the clinic ,but if i buy at chemist they would charge me 30 bhts a tab. You can also get the 16mg tabs

With the wet season now in full swing here in Khon Kaen ,been some big down pours within the last week ,It a full time battle keeping mosies down in my house.Even one mossie in my house is one to many. Strange how they get in as I have protection on all my doors and windows. Even stranger ,how come you always find mosies in the toilet and showers when we have no windows as such to get in ,only have very fine mesh covering the small opening. Worst day I had was last week ,as it was mothers day Me and Lady and Lady daughter went to a afternoon Karioka ,rented a small room ,which the lighting was very bad I was bit every where ,worst than if I was in a Thai Jungle Sure will not go to this place again.

All I can say soi LK is a great area to stay and many places to choose with various prices. I always stay at Metro appartments if not full and im always given smile when I arrive ,its a bit like my second home when in Pattaya now.
