  1. I live on the darkside just outside of the ADSL catchment area...use my Nokia N72 and DTac....Edge gets me 230kbs which while poor compared to ADSL is the best I can get here and a lot better than GPRS....I pay 260 baht or so for 7 days unlimited access.....just have to phone DTac every 7 days and re-subscribe... http://www.edgethailand.com/index.php
  2. They been open a little while now, tried to go to the Supper Club to have a look but got turned away because Im in a wheelchair...I took a piss in their car park then left.
  3. I have uveitis and was not impressed with the Bangkok pattaya check up I had...they did not put drops in to increase the pupil size to make for better checking nor did she give the old "Look left, up, down....." etc routine that I had become used to in the UK...at the end of the day she just re-prescribed me my drugs I had got in the UK..also I saved about 1200 baht on the cost of my drugs by buying them from Fascino on Pattaya Nua instead of the hospital
  4. I agree looks a great place, never been yet, so interested also...MataHari is lovely tho if your looking for somewhere nice to go also.
  5. Well im someone who is not so down on trading (ForEx or otherwise)...The reason it gets such a bad rep is people go into it not knowing what they are doing and cant control themselves. A) You don't HAVE to use loads of leverage just because its available. Commission/spread losses are more of an issue when your day trading/scalping...if your looking to swing trade then they become a much smaller part of your trading cost. C) You MUST have another income stream unless you are consistently profitable/funds to cover down months. Ive read about so many guys taking up trading full time with the pressure of needing to make a monthly income to cover living expenses and they end up taking stupid risks in desperation attempts. D) Only use money you can walk away from (As above, Ive seen guys using Redundancy money to trade with while having a wife+mortgage to take of). E) You have to be able to control your fear/greed emotions. F) Get used to people saying its "Just Gambling" and "Everyone Loses Money Trading".... Other than that just read/learn/study and take it slow...A decent ForEx company like Oanda let you trade micro accounts so you can throw in 500 USD or something and learn with real money while keeping the trades small enough it should last you a long time (i.e. don't use any leverage) Unlike some which have a min trade amount of 10 000USD+ Oanda let you trade as small amount as you wish. Their a good company, been going a number of years. Although their charting platform is a little basic. http://www.oanda.com/
  6. I always thought at earliest noon was a good time...As I never got back to my hotel room till >2am or so by time we get to sleep its nearly time for her to leave if she leaves at 8am, + Im still tired as hell and I like my sleep...noon enabled for a far more relaxed time IMHO and I like the girls around to have breakfast with etc if they want to, much better GFE.
  7. This subject interests me greatly also. I asked a similar question on another board and for the most part was told to have the ops done in Europe (assuming money was not the issue and quality/skill of the hospital was).... That said I have also heard good thing about some Bangkok hospitals, the one I was considering was BNH due to their specialist spinal unit....some of the ops I will need to consider in the future include knee replacements, wrist fusions and spine/neck surgery...so would be good to get some/all done in Bangkok but only if the standard is top notch! Only thing I would suggest is read up your Drs background and try and get someone who has trained for a period of time in Europe, USA, Aus etc...
  8. Just did some hunting, found some of the previous threads by Eneukman http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...c=18188&hl= http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...7&hl=budget
  9. After working out my budget for LOS must admit drink/girls make up about a 1/3 of my planned monthly expenses, looking at a night out every 2nd or 3rd night. Rent also fairly high for the place I want...IMHO these three things as mentioned before can make the biggest differences in a persons budget.
