  1. lv2play, I stayed there a year or so back and although the hotel is very nice their guest policy sucks... Back then it was 500 per guest Mats
  2. Mont, The noice from the construction was terrible so yes, stay somewhere else if it`s psb. They started working around 7am and on to about 3-4 pm. Mats
  3. It was closed 10 days ago, but open the week before ... Marine 2 also closed around 3 Mats
  4. Stayed there last week and the hotel / rooms are nice, but be aware of some heavy construction going on during the daytime. Mats
  5. Hi, just tried now myself and had no problems. Some nice prices with that carrier, just got myself a roundtrip to Singapore for 3200 THB Mats
  6. Hey Pat, Your correct, just had a chat with the gf and she confirmed it was dee mak mak for a guy to use the word... So it looks like I now have to use to word everytime I say tilac to the gf Mats
  7. Hi Pat, I thought "jah" was a phrase that only females used ? Don`t think I`ve ever heard a thai male used it. Mats
  8. Has anybody been at the Trinity House in Silom Soi 5 and care to share some comments about the place ? Mats
  9. Sowwow, I suggest you book the trip in Thailand, a 6 month tikcet ( 3 month`s NA ) roundtrip Bangkok - Oslo is about 10.000 NOK if you buy the ticket here in Norway. As Ole said, try booking it in Pattaya. Prices should be no more then 40.000, cheaper during low season. .M
  10. Not 100% sure, but I think Air Andaman goes there aswell as Bangkok Airways. .M
  11. sowwow, What kind of flight are you looking for ? A rountrip ticket or one way ? The easy way do do would be to use Thai Airways who has a fixed price,6000 NOK one way from Bangkok - Oslo. You could pay this ticket in Norway and she could pick it up in Bangkok. Thai Airways has a special price for thai`s, which gives them 3-5% discount. A cheaper way to do it, get a one way ticket with Malaysia airways ( low season, about 16 000 Bath, one way ). but then she would have to go via Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam before Oslo. You have to buy this ticket in Bangkok. As always, aeroflot, Pia etc has cheaper prices, but way too much hassle Good luck ! .M
  12. Hi fasterfreddy, try this link : http://www.sawadee.com/bangkok/manhattan/ Mats
  13. Hi, the hotel even has a penthouse and a karaoke club ;D I haven`t been there in a while, but the rooms where not that big and the 300 ( maybe 400 ) bath joiner fee is a turn off. Ask for the suites, only a few hundred bath more and a much bigger room. .M
  14. Have to agree bk_boiler about the lack of lighting in the superior rooms. I enjoyed my stay there without my gf, but wouldn`t think of having her staying there with me. I can imagine a "good girl" would have some sort of problems being draggeg thrue one beer bar and one go go before collecting the room key ;D Hell, I didn`t ever realise they have a side entrance ( thinking that the beer bar was the main entrance ;D ) before bk boiler wrote it. Have a good trip Jimmy ! Mats
  15. mattelyo, Doesn`t the Park hotel charge a joiner fee ? I went there a couple of years back and they said they charged 500 for guests. Would be very nice if that policy has changed as the hotel has a great location. .M
  16. I did have a question for you, and that`s why are you replying if you have nothing to add ? Now that you have given the answer, then ok. I just felt that there was no reason to talk about it on this thread, but since you insisted, then ok agian. Now, if you / anyone reply to every thread just "cos you want to" eventhough you have nothing to add, then there really wouldn`t be anything interesting to read on this board. wouldn`t you agree ? .M
  17. Crackpot, I would just like to know why you`re still replying to this thread when it`s obvious that you have NOTHING to add to the starter of the thread... Why the angry tone ?
  18. I disagree with that. But why are you still replying in this thread when it`s obvious that you have nothing to add except from letting people know that you don`t like techno music ? Reply to me via PM please. I didn`t know MOS is out of business in Bangkok, but as I understand it, the club is still operating with a different name / owners ? .M
  19. delphi, As I mentioned, try to contact the managment of MOS ( Ministry of sound ) at their office in London and maybe they can set up a meeting or something at their Bangkok club. Also try the RCA strip in Bangkok. I`ve seen a few farangs in clubs around Bangkok, if you don`t expect money and are good at your music you should have a fair chance. Good luck I BTW, love techno ;D .M
  20. Most girlie bars ( which is what I assume you`re refering too ) just have a guy that pushes the play button one the winamp player... Don`t think you can call thoose guys dj`s...
  21. nope, it doesn`t pay well at all. That`s if you can even manage do get a gig... Maybe you should try to contact MOS before you arrive. As everywhere, the biggest clubs have tables, but around the normal bars they normaly have cd`s/mp3 but I assume that`s not the kind of places you are into. .M
  22. 6PM sounds great ;D .M
  23. Hi I`ll be in Bangkok on the 22 if your prowl is still on. Noon might be a bit early thoug ;D .M
  24. Booking classes except from C, J and F are different in each country. .M
  25. Thanks for the pics Upena. I`ll be staying there in Dec ;D
