Hello Peeps... Just a wee heads up on a Thai Birthday Party at Gamebird II (across from Angelwitch) Friday Night (24th). Things should get going around 8-9ish!! The Bar is being re-launched as a 'Coyote' Bar and around 15 Dancers have been hired for the 'extended' stage area! Its 'died' over the last few months due to poor management but things are looking up now! I seen the interviews for the Dancers and Costume Trials/Change today.....well....someone's gotta do it!! So if your out with your TG/BG and want to offload her yak-yak(ing) for a while with other TG's, be there! Or if your a solo-rider, there will be FL's and Coyote's available for your pleasure! The word is that there may be a 'Tribute Act' on during the evening..........well, thats the word anyway! Rambo.....

Its a good Condo mate and is the 'better' VT Building (although VT6 does 'tick' all the boxes.) To any BM who is not familiar with this location/building, both are great! Do any of you BM's have a Condo to let for 3 months from 28th Dec 08? Have flights booked already Looking for a possible change of Condo. I normally rent in South Patts but will possibly now look at Central/North/Wongamat. (Not Jomtien or V. Talay) Price around the 15,000THB mark and must have Internet. Would obviously need to be available now for the 3 Months Jan-Mar 09. (Lucky me!) Would appreciate some 'new' ideas. For all you mongers thinking of staying here, I can say overall its a decent gaff to pitch your tent for a while. Although small-ish in room size and pool, the facilities and security aspects are good. The free high-speed Internet and the cleanliness of the modern rooms makes the monthly tag of 9500THB a steal. And location is quiet and near Tuk-Com. You could do worse........try the 'Apex Hotel' on the 2nd road......then you will think Tycoon Pl is the Marriott!!!!

Jacko.... I have stayed in most LHR hotels and, as you say, 'effin expensive. Go to the Travelodge website and look up 'Feltham'. As I said, the 24hr bus leaves across the road from the hotel. Its possible to drive down Feltham High St and park in one of the side streets for free. I have done this a few times (for 3 months too!) and its been fine. Not ideal in the bigger scale of things but FREE!! If the airfare from my local airport was say £100 more, then obviously I would just book that. But this is a great option to save money and get a good hotel to boot!! There is also a 24 hr ASDA next door to the hotel......what can I say!! Has to be a option for some...... R........

Jacko.... Easy enough. I used to live in the LHR area (Feltham). I will drive down the day before the flight. Then overnight at the Travelodge Feltham (£29 per room) and up the next day fresh as a daisy for the flight....easy!The 24 hr Heathrow bus leaves right outside the hotel (£3.50). So do the maths.... £60 round trip for Petrol and the saving made is still over £300!! I am all for flying out of my nearest airport and paying a bit more.....but not another £420!!! Yes, it may be a pain but worth it. That saving will pretty much pay for my Condo for near 3 months!! Just a thought for you mongers to best use your moolah!!! R......

Its all a question of price though eh? I am travelling down from Glasgow! WTF? (I hear you say!) Emirates - GLA/BKK - £711 (Xmas/ NY period) Qatar Air - LHR/BKK - £492 ( "" "" "" ) As I booked 2 tickets, saving is £438!! That will buy an awfull amount of 'joy' in LOS!! Shop-around I think is the order of the day. My good mate Vidman flew NCL-BKK instead of his local GLA airport.....saved a few £££'s too!! Yes, it can be a pain, but the saving goes a long way to your stay in LOS! R.......

Hello All... Not been on this forum for a while. Is 'Otherway' still here so I can 'mentally torture' him again? Anyway, I just booked 3 month stint in LOS leaving London on the 28th of December. Got a great deal with Qatar Airways for a mere £492 inc. Now, you have to mess around with outbound/return dates but there's lots of dates even at the slightly higher fare of £528 inc which is still a fair price for High Season. Qatar operate brand new Airbus flights LHR-DOH-BKK with full on-board entertainment(incl the Flight Attendants!) so they are worth a punt! I am an Emirates Frequent Flyer (Silver) but there fares have went through the roof! So if your thinking of LOS for New Year....then what you waiting for? Have a look....... Rambo......
