Building A Better Pattaya Beer Garden

I made it a point to stop by when I was in town recently - I had a really great meal - just a Singha light and your pork KaPow stir fry (with rice) - perhaps the best Thai meal I had while on vacation :) Nice job on how the place turned out. -Khun BKKsaint -

Adam- Don't be surprised if your place becomes "Cherry A-Go-Go" on Wednesday nights! -BKKsaint -
She gets shown the door, I'm afraid. There's really NO POINT in having a girl who doesn't BF at your place. -BKKsaint

I'm thinking about booking a room for my stay as well. Locationwise, it's perfect. Sorry to hear that they frown upon Eden 3 ways. I have heard that the rooms are nice, but from looking at photos, they look a little plain and outdated. -BKKsaint -

How often is Patts above 35 degrees Celsius??

here's an excellent site: http://www.travelfish.org/weather_fish.php You can see that the months with the coolest temps and least rainfall are the busiest ones for tourism. -BKKsaint -
another great idea: How about a high-end, lavishly decorated, (non starfish) stunners-only ST room? I'm surprised that there already isn't a place in Pattaya like this. Oh yeah- you said it's only 5x5, huh? High end ST chair? Or maybe you could just cater to short falangs. -BKKsaint

I read somewhere that it doesn't matter- ALL the custom tailoring done in Pattaya is all from the same place! All the various shops send the orders to the same factory to be made. I did have a good experience with CLIFF Tailors- near walking street on Beach Rd. It's down the smallish alley right next to the Starbucks (towards walking st.). They offered a fair price, GREAT quality, and fast fast fast service- only about 3 days. Be sure, however, to make sure you're communicating well with the tailor. Make sure they have you come in for a few test fittings. Finally, make sure you pay the few extra baht to get a fully lined suit- I think all those great prices that they quote are for un-lined suits. -BKKsaint

Wow- so many pressing questions! Let me see... The FUJI menu goes on for pages and pages- it can be difficult to decide exactly what you want. Try the Thai-style sashimi salad- kind of different than Japanese versions that you get in the States. A little pricey compared to other places in LOS, but still a bargain compared to Japanese restaurant prices back home. I had a lavish sushi/sashimi lunch, with beverage and dessert, and the bill was under $20 usd. You simply cannot find deals like these back home, I'm afraid. The M&K place is a typical hot pot place- you select what ingredients you want from the menu (veggies, fish, meats, noodles), and they bring it to your table. In the middle of it, there's a burner unit and a big cauldron filled with stock. You add the stuff you want to eat into the hot soup, and remove it with tiny wire baskets when they're done. Be sure to try the spicy Thai dipping sauce- really good with the green noodles. Worried about cooking? Do what I did- just sit back and let your TG do the work- she'll be happy to. You know- I've NEVER gotten sick in Thailand, and I've eaten at all sorts of places- tiny food stalls on the sidewalk, small locals-only places, and even the infamous "deep fried bug" cart! I suppose it all depends on your constitution- do you normally get sick easily from eating the wrong foods? A tip when trying the street food- make SURE they cook it infront of you- never accept an already cooked item from them. Who knows when (or where) it was prepared... Drinking bottled water in LOS is a good idea- I read on a website that Thailand has some of the most polluted water of any major city on Earth. I never had troubles with showering, washing my face, or brushing my teeth- just be aware to spit out any tap/shower water. If you are hit with an upset stomach after eating something, just pop an anti-diharreal pill (i.e. Lomotil). It might be a good idea to carry a small bottle with you. Good luck, and enjoy your trip! -BKKsaint -

I'm gonna have to agree with my Bro Grimm- Pattaya food has a lot to be desired. While there in March, I went to a few supposedly "high end" dining places in Pattaya with a few Thai friends who came down for a visit from BKK. I noticed it tasted no better than the small hole-in-the-wall places (which can be found ALL over Pattaya), but the portions were about 1/2 the size, and the check for the meal was double! I say keep it simple when in Pattaya. I can strongly recommend the FUJI japanese restaurant chain (Big C has a nice one)- the menu can be a bit overwhelming though. I also liked M&K Hot Pot- cook your own meal after chosing different meats/veggies/seafood from the extensive menu. TGs seemed to like this place too- I guess it's healthy eating- which is paramount if you're a Thai girl trying to stay fit. You should visit the tiny street food places when you're there- it'd be a shame if you missed trying that. -BKKsaint -
Fantasic pics, Adam... even if they're a little late! Thanks again for a great night- I'd have NO reservations about hosting another party at the world-famous Cherry Bar. I'll post a few pics of the party when I get the chance. What kind of camera are you using Adam? I look really skinny in the pics for some reason! lol Chok Dee, -BKKsaint

Hmmmmm... I really don't see any point in Lap Dances. That's about all we can get here in the USA (as far as legit gentleman's clubs). We ALL know that a lap-dance is a lousy investment! $20 only gets you a severe case of Blue-Balls! Now- WHAT would be the point of getting a lap dance from a girl who you'll probably end up shagging in a bit? What I've done to sort of "test the waters" at a beer bar or a-go-go is the old rub and grind from behind. If she starts kissing your neck, or sneaking her hand to your growing bulge, then I think she's a go. -BKKsaint

Yes- agreed that Pun 2 is a safe bet for a BF. I think that midlifecrisis is right on the pronunciation though- I swear that she said "Bun 2" every time I asked what her name was! Pun? Bun? lol... -BKKsaint
