Are you entering your username as flying_pig or flying__pig? Looking at your profile, it seems that there should be two underscores as in the latter. Passwords are case sensitive, so make sure that you're entering that correctly.

That's what I tried as well. I got a long reply with all the hotels details and a note stating that I would need to sign the form as they require 2 days deposit. It was a pain as I had to print it, sign it and fax it from work. ::) At least it went through the first time. Come to think of it, they haven't replied, I think I may have to phone them and ask them for confirmation. Good luck Hank!

I'm afraid so Joey. Even though it'll be busy, you will still have a great time and the weather, although hot, will be a little more bearable. Most of the hotels have a tendency to raise their prices during high season and are often at near full capacity. It would be advisable to book early to avoid disappointment. The message could be referring to your 'Outbox'. Check if there are any messages that you have sent still sitting in there, if so, and if they are not necessary, simply delete them.

My fax to the Penthouse went through the first time....looks like I'm staying there. I hope it lives up to its reputation ...29 days and counting! ;D

I requested a room at the Penthouse and they replied that they had vacancies but I would have to pay a deposit for 2 days. I don't mind that but they insist that I print the form and FAX it ::). I don't have a printer at home so I'll have to discretely print it at work and fax it from there. What a pain, I wish they had another system for paying the deposit. :-X

I have used www.sawadee.com before and again for this trip, they confirm availability first and then ask you to pay by credit card. No problems with the company and good service too. I believe that the online booking service in the FLB hotel section is res24 and their online booking pages look the same as Sawadee - perhaps the same company? Regardless, it's a good service and you have the peace of mind that the hotel is booked and paid for. I wish they would add the Penthouse to the list, the Penthouse require me to send a fax with credit card details.... ::)

Most definitely friendly to your guests. A very nice hotel and well run too! I always try and stay at the Majestic Suites when I'm in Bangkok. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks Emil, That's a definite possibility! I've never been with a non-working girl in Thailand so it could be very interesting if I manage to pick up! Even if I don't end up staying at the Dynasty Inn, I will have to check Mike's Mall.... ;D

The Golden Beer Bar is my favourite hang out place in Bangkok. I just love going there before a night on the prowl and having one or two cold ones. I get a seat looking out at the entrance to NEP and have to pinch myself that I'm actually here! There was one cutie there last trip that I came close to bar-fining but I realised that if I did take her, then I may have to curtail my butterflying ways and that I could jeapordise my favourite people-watching place!

I'm a mount'n man, I like mount'n women ;D Sorry, thought I'd get that in before someone else did. If you're serious about mountain biking in such a hot climate when you could put all that energy to a much more enjoyable pastime with all the little brown honies, then more power to you. I know what I'd rather be riding! ;D

November 6th. What a beautiful date! That's the day I arrive too! ;D ;D ;D I suggest that you take a taxi to your hotel when you arrive rather than wait for your friends at the airport. Having a head start on your friends will allow you to freshen up and have a few cold ones in comfort. A lot more enjoyable than hanging around the airport where you will be constantly hassled by the touts. ::) When I arrive, I normally catch a taxi to my hotel, check-in, unpack, shower and head off to the Golden Beer bar opposite the NEP and soak in the atmosphere for an hour or two.
