I don't agree. If you observe a group of farangs in most holiday situations you will see them in light hearted conversation, a bit of winding up going on, laughing and joking, backslapping etc. You will also see interplay between different groups of farang. I repeat, the majority of Russians i've seen in Patts though undoubtably a well groomed and attractive bunch, tend to stick in their immediate family groups, avoid interplay with other groups farang OR Russian, and have a sullen demeanor. Up to them, their holiday. That is just my observation. Language barriers are broken down all over

Aloof, rude, unsmiling, all fit the bill IMHO. They don't even seem to socialise with each other, but stick to there own family groups. Pretty (literally) boring race i'd say in general. Not sure about them staying in cheap out of town hotels though. The 5 star Ambassador out on the Suk Rd is full of them. 5 years ago i'm thinking it would have been full of yanks. Sign of the times?

Yep. I can sleep on the night flight, but the day flight coming back is a never ending nightmare as i don't even drink on the return as my car waiting at the train station in the UK. i suppose flying Thai for the service and taking a DVD player and some films an option.

No! Price is all inc. I don't think ANY promo price applys if the outward journey has not ben made. If you did use the ticket Papa i'm pretty sure you would pick up a huge surcharge. In addition they would begin trying to re sell the return ticket as soon as you were no show at LHR. Must be someone out there?

Thai have an amazing offer on at the moment. 2 return ait tickets LHR to Bkk for £578. Thats £289 each !!! Booking must be before 1st April and travel completed before 30 June. Arrive on Sun 09 Jan and staying in the Byoke. Thing is Man U v Liverpool in the F.A Cup on at 12.30! Desperate to see the game, but don't know if the Byoke have a bar that will show it (with sound)? The Bkk Palace next door mill prob have it on, but with the band playing over it. Anyone know of a local bar that does the EPL games? Cheers!

This game in honour of the King (undoubtably fixed up by Bryan Robson), was announced subject to confirmation a while back. Prior to the Thai FIFA rep voting against us! It was pencilled in for early June, but i can't find any mention of it now on the more up to date sites. Anyone heard anything?

Thanks Joe. So basically, we go see a lawyer, cheapskate or otherwise, and he runs up an agreement binding us to the stipulations already alluded to. Then we buy some stock, stick a board over the rented unit with our shop name on it, pay the unit rental and wait for the money to pour in. We bank said money and devide the profits accordingly. Any spats and we refer to the agreement in court. Sounds good to me! What about paying tax, medical ins, etc? I'd like to know so i can set it aside as we go and not be hit by any unexpected bills. Thinking of forming a company with my long time gf to rent out a unit in her families shopping mall to sell kitch. My collateral, so profit all mine until this sum recouped. She would get a managers wage. Then 50-50 with her getting 100% of the gains after my demise. Thats the plan anyway. Can i be named as a partner on her business (guess it would have to be that way) with this formla stipulated? Is it difficult to set up, how much would the legal fees be for this service, and where do i find out about tax deduction and holiday entitlement for us and the staff? I'm due in Bkk on Jan 8th ex UK, but can't find any direct flights for (much) under £700. I have travelled in January in the past and had no trouble getting decent fares as arriving after the Christmas New year peak. c£550 direct. I have my eye on Etihad at £524 but the timimgs are shit. Fares are an issue as i come 4 times a year. I'm only just into the 6 week from departure period when the prices for Thai and Eva tend to come down, but i'm getting twitchy about losing the Etihad flight if i dither too long. What you reckon......will the direct price come down in the next couple of weeks, or
