  1. It's obvious to you, me and everyone else except cecco what the problem is. Why don't you just break the news to him when you both meet for the drinks?
  2. I've got a phobia about sleeping on top of the dried pussy juice of women and because of my sexual techniques the women always flow. If the sheets are changed daily how much would that add to the cost if I was staying at the Rockhouse? The rooms look very good.
  3. The bars are using the same warning system as when the cops are heading into their bars cecco when they see you lumber towards their clubs. They flash those lights and all the good ones hide in the back and the second stringers take the stage. By the time you squeeze through the entrance you're too late. Try wearing a smile occasionally around town and stop complaining about every little thing in the bars when you're out and about. It might make a difference in how good a time you have. Just a suggestion and all.
  4. Dear Mr. Alexist, Because of the kind nature the administrator who goes by the abbreviated name of "MM" seems to have, there is now an edit function available to me. That question at least to me is now moot. But other new members to this board can possibly learn about the mysterious "edit function" that had me baffled when trying to have Ms. Stentworth go back and correct an error on an earlier post. Her error, I hasten to add! After being given access to the more muture discussions and subject matter in the restricted area, let me assure you my secretary will not be taking any more dictation from me in regards to the postings to this board! Even this response down in the general section of the board is being sloooooowly typed by a one Mister Pembrooke...so it will be shorter than previous posts. "There is a God!" I hear you shout from halfway across the world, Mr. Alexist. But this precaution will obviously limit my time spent here to mostly reading. Problems at work seem to demand more and more of my time. Why do they come running to me with these problems? What am I paying upper management for? Oh well, I will then just mostly focus on reading past posts and learn from the many people who have experienced the apparent joys of Thailand in general and Pattaya specifically. If I have a question or (more likely) there is a point raised by another board member that I feel it is necessary to respond to then you can be certain that I will be heard from again. I am sure that a board with this many members has more than a handful of Mr. Sinbinjacks, Mr. Rightsaids and Mr. Weavers aboard. This will inevitably lead me to ask clarifying questions of them or to challenge their suppositions. I ask their patience in advance. Hopefully you, the inquisitive Mr. Alexist, will be among the people I interact with down the road at this board. Warmest regards, Chauncy
  5. Thank you for clarifying your original post regarding the air conditioning Mr. Weaver. It is my problem (and one that has plagued me for much of my adult life) to at times focus on a minor point to the exclusion of the major one. Please accept my sincere apology. For me to assume you were too lazy to get up and change the setting on the A/C was presumptuous of me to say the least. But at least when you went back and reread your original post, you were able to understand where I jumped to the wrong conclusion. My mind focused on what to me was an obsessive desire on your part to secure a hotel room with a remote control device. I am glad, however, that you have modified your original post substantially by dropping the whole remote control requirement altogether and clarified your room requirements. I thank you for that. In closing, I hope your traveling partner has by now regained his complete health and you, Mr. Weaver, have success in the near future in finding a great room with an equally great new (or nearly new) air conditioning unit. Warmest regards, Chauncy
  6. Thank you ben99 for that amusing post. But in all seriousness I think you hit the nail squarely on the head with point #1- Saves the monger hauling his sorry arse out of bed. I took the liberty ben99 of changing two letters you transposed in the word "arse" but left it with the British spelling which you obviously intended. I resisted the almost overwhelming urge to replace it with "ass." Getting back to Mr. Weaver and his request for a remote control for the A/C here is his original post which he told me to reread after I questioned him about the A/C remote control matter: Aug 3 2007, 06:56 PM Post #1 Newbie Group: Members Posts: 19 Joined: 12-April 04 Member No.: 4852 Hi, Can anyone recommend a hotel, for about up to 1500 baht per night in the Second Road area, with air con, controlled by remote? I stayed at Royal Twins Hotel in June, and the air con was terrible My mate was ill and had a fever, I asked the hotel, if I could have a fan, they repled "No,you have to go to Big C,and buy one" The hotel, has great rooms, but unfortunately the management, are not keeping the hotel up to scratch - so to speak. Does Areca,Sandy Springs,or Whitehouse have air-con with remote control? Any advice, greatly appreciated gents. Cheers Miko He implies that all would be well in the next hotel he stays at if he has a remote control to adjust the A/C...why didn't mr. Weaver just ask for a hotel with good A/C? Why ask whether the Areca, Sandy Springs, etc. have A/C's with remotes? Isn't an A/C in good working condition enough? So that leads me back to your post ben99 that was obviously written in jest but in actuality struck at the heart of the matter in my opinion...namely that Mr. Weaver is lazy. It's not a crime to be lazy, many of us are, but for him to tell me to read his post again, that somehow I misunderstood what he was asking about is a bit disingenuous on his part. Well, at least to me it is. Mr. Weaver, maybe you can reread your first post again in order to understand how I interpreted it. If you would either explain why a remote control is so important to you rather than you just being satisfied with a "newish" A/C in the room I would appreciate it. I truly would like to move on but it's not that easy for the following reason. I am afflicted with a personality disorder that was explained to me as being obsessive and I am afraid for some reason my mind has become obsessed with Mr. Weaver's search for a room with a remote for the A/C! And all this will take place in a city I have no plans on visiting soon! I have never met Mr. Weaver, of course, so on the surface it appears to most as much ado about nothing, but unless you are in my shoes (and I wish no one that) it's impossible to understand. Last night at a restaurant the A/C was set really low (summers are very warm where I live). Actually it was a bit too cold, and in the midst of three other people all chatting away I was thinking," I wonder if the A/C here has a remote? It seems to be working great whether it has a remote or not...I wonder what Mr. Weaver would think about this?" Crazy, no? Warmest regards, Chauncy
  7. After reading Bullfrog's reply I see that it's basically everyone for themselves in this section. So I went to the search function and found this: Editing Posts Above any posts that you have made, you may see an 'Edit' button. Pressing this will allow you to edit the post that you had previously made. When editing you may see an option to 'Add the 'Edit by' line in this post?'. If you tick this then it will show up in the posts that it has been edited and the time at which it was edited. If this option does not appear, then the edit by line will always be added to the post. If you are unable to see the edit button displayed on each post that you have made, then the administrator may have prevented you from editing posts, or the time limit for editing may have expired. The word "may" is vexing...is it left to the whim of the administrators who has an edit button and who doesn't? There isn't a button above my posts, but apparently Bullfrog has one, since his post shows clear cut evidence of having been edited at the very end. Does the board strive for poor grammar, atrocious spelling, etc. without posters being able to right their wrongs? Very curious, but being new here it is certainly not for me to raise too much of a protest. sincerely, Chauncy
  8. Weaver I reread your post several times trying to understand why it is crucial for you to find a hotel with a remote control for the A/C. I can understand wanting a remote control for a T.V. but putting an A/C remote control at the top of your list as a requirement for staying in a hotel has me stumped. Wanting a hotel with new air conditioning would certainly be a consideration if one suffered from asthma or other problems of this nature. But what a remote control has to do with the cleanliness of an A/C, or for that matter the frequency of it being cleaned, has me perplexed. What if there was a hotel meeting all your requirements...under 1500 baht per night...newly installed A/C...near 2nd Road...if the A/C was not controlled by remote, would that be a deal breaker? Surely you see why I was confused by your original post? I'm new here and don't know if it's possible to edit our posts after we submit them. I have asked this question of the management on another section and await their response, because a mistake was made in a previous post unrelated to this thread that ultimately I was responsible for and I would like to correct it. If I hear back from management that indeed there is an edit function available here, I will get back to you in this thread to let you know. That way you could possibly rewrite your specifications for a hotel room so as to be more clearly understood and others won't be confused like I was. Warmest regards, Chauncy
  9. Is there a way to edit a post? I don't have the time to wade through a FAQ. After dictating a message to my secretary for her to post here, I noticed a mistake when reading it later on the board. Who ever heard of someone "using warm water and warm soap?" Clearly my response to the young man who asked for suggestions to fix his "sour shoulder" should have been "warm water and soap" but will he indeed try to heat up a bar of soap? Would I be held liable if he was to burn himself? Would the liability possibly even extend to this board, since the edit function is clearly not featured prominently, if indeed this function even exists here? Not a good start for old Chauncy at this board and an error, albeit not technically mine but under the Pembrooke name nonetheless, that I seek to redress. Thank you.
  10. If you would, please let Chris know in advance when you will be dropping in so he can make arrangements to be away. Thank you.
  11. Are you the gentleman I saw being fork-lifted out of the Residence Garden in May? May I suggest some brisk morning walks rather than slices of pizza for you, young man? ?
  12. How much of the distasteful meal did you leave on the plate? Also write down the name of the restaurant in Jomtien next time so you can fill in the gap here. Thank you.
  13. Weaver surely you are not so lazy that you cannot get up and walk a few steps to adjust the A/C. Consider it your exercise when on holiday in LOS.
  14. Surprising that everyone is suggesting massage for this problem. A good scrubbing with warm soap and warm water is your best bet. Maybe a drop or two of cologne on your neck will help if this is a persistent problem. I know how you got your name of Odense. Is your last name One, by any chance?
