Cheapest mode of travel besides bus that I'm aware of is the mimi bus run by Thai Limo. Cost is 200 baht from the airport to the Thai Limo office in Pattaya, where upon arrival they have baht buses waiting to take you to your hotel for an additional 40-60 baht. Departure times are 0900, 1200, and 1900 hours. Emil

Hub, To get the 5000 mile bonus, you must purchase ticket online on their website and be a Cathay or American Airlines member. If your a Cathay member. they send you monthly emails with all their special promotions. This special 5000 mile bonus applies to all purchases made through 30 Jun 2003 with travel completed by 30 Jun 2004, however they only have a few seats available with the extra low fares so you need to book early and are probably available during their low season. Just got back yesterday from Pattaya, traveled on JAL and they are connected to American Airlines, but was told

rober15, If your arrival time is 1120 AM and not PM, and your trying to keep your costs down, go to the Thai Limo station and take their mini bus to Pattaya. It leaves the airport at noon and only cost 200 baht. Arrives Thai Limo office in Pattaya around 2:30 PM where they have baht busses waiting and for another 50-60 bahts will take you to your hotel. Pattaya hotel name on soi 8????
Emil replied to bang51kok's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
bang51kok, Your correct its the Sunshine. Right next to the Sunshine is the Eastiny Place. I'm stay at the Eastiny beginning 23rd July and am paying 650, but that is a rate for 4 weeks. Emil -
cruk, I think you'll have more success in finding someone to share a ride with you if you start your own post with your arrival date as part of the subject. Most of the people who read my post are probably arriving on 23rd July, and those arriving on 8 August won't even bother to read my post. Hope to see you at FLB. Emil

I'm scheduled to arrive 23 July @ 10:45PM on Japan Airlines. Looking to share Taxi/Limo to Pattaya. Emil

Joker, If you have accumulated at least 45K miles on AA frequent flyer program, it will qualify you for a roundtrip to Bangkok instead of the usual 70K miles on Cathay Pacific. They have run this special for the last 3 years that I'm aware. For 2002 the time period was from March 20-May 31 and September 1-December 15. Emil

Piet, I don't have the Eastiny Inn's address, but I have the Eastiny Place's address. It's also located on Soi 8 but towards 2nd Rd. If your staying for a longer period of time you should be able to get a rate of 700 Baht a night or even less if your staying for around a month. They have the same owner so if you don't get the Inn's address you might ask them for it. If your a smoker you would want to avoid Eastiny Place because they have restrictions on where you smoke. Eastiny Place address: eastiny@loxinfo.co.th Emil

Big DUSA, To get to Kittens from Soi 2, head up 2nd Rd to North Pattaya Rd. There is a roundabout at the intersection with a dolphin in the center. Keep heading north and about 150 meters on the right hand side its located. Emil

BigDUSA, I don't think you want to be waiting from him, because he says he arriving at 2 PM, which is almost 9 hours before you arrive, unless he meant 2 AM on the 23rd. At first I thought I was arriving when you were, but it turns out I'm getting their on the 23rd. Hope to see you guys at FLB. Emil

Dave, When I sent a request for my reservations I used these 3 different addresses: eastiny2@loxinfo.co.th eastiny@ptty.loxinfo.co.th eastinyinn@hotmail.com Attn: Mr Mark When I received a reply, it was from Ayudh Nacaprasit and his address is eastiny@loxinfo.co.th So I'm not exactly sure which of the 4 is good, but I would probably start with the last one. Hope this works and enjoy your trip. One other thing, I sent an email to them the day of my departure from home to remind them of my arrival because I had heard rumors that they sometimes missplace your reservatio

First 2 trips to Pattaya I stayed at the Pattaya Centre hotel, but when they raised their internet rate from 800 to 1250 I decided to try a new hotel. Now I wouldn't go back to the Pattaya Centre if they went back to the old price. When I arrived on the 27th of Feb I didn't realize there were 2 Eastiny hotels on Soi 8, so I told the driver Eastiny Place and fortunately I was right. I paid 750 a night, but if you pay by credit card their is an additional charge of 3% for your bill. Rooms are nice with a large bed and an A/C with thermostat, cable TV with many channels in many languages (app

If your a member of the American Airlines frequent flyer program they are currently running a special that requires only 45,000 miles instead of the normal 70,000 miles for a free R/T between Vancover, Toronto, New York, LA, San Francisco and Bangkok. This also includes your connecting flights from your nearest airport that is serviced by American Airlines or American Eagle. You must book this flight between now and May 31 and must travel between now and 31 May or between 1 Sep and 15 Dec. The flights between Bangkok and the above mentioned cities are on Cathay Pacific.
