They have the worst wifi setup possible. I have stayed at the Eastiny Seven last trip and even there I had far better wifi connections and speeds. For those that have stayed at the VT2A condo's and used their external WiFi partner even have better connections while the AP's are located so badly only weak signal is received at any particular condo.

I fly from the mainland, and I think far more options are available to us. I fly either from Brussels Airport, Schiphol (Netherlands) or Charles De Gaul (France). Cheapest flights I book usually through KLM. But prices rarely drop the last weeks even with a plane with a 78% occupancy. But you can book their cheapest rates up to 2 months beforehand. Thai airways from Brussels also offers good prices booking 2 months beforehand. Another Agoda issue : The discounts they seem to offer are almost always non existing. Just checked the prices for Areca Lodge rooms and Agoda seems to quote high season christmas prices and offers a reduction in price that equals the low season prices that the hotel offers directly on their website. It is a great distance to everywhere, But breakfast shuts down too early, can only bring back one guest, with extra guests you need to pay. 6 months or 4 months in advance is a bit far fetched. Up to 2 months in advance still gives you the best prices, unless you plan to travel during peak flying periods like the summer holidays. I usually start checking the prices after I have returned and check again 3 months later, I fluctuates but usually get the best prices between 2 and 3 months in advance. Have been lucky with prices as well a few weeks ahead of my trip.

There are 2 places on walking strees (landside), WS guest house rents out rooms as ST rooms too. and a few soi's further you have a dedicated ST place.

Have eaten there during my last trip into pty with my Thai girl. The steak and the frites were very good, didn't try anything else, but will at my next trip. Found the atmosphere not as good.
