Trip Advisor's Top Pattaya Restaurants
flashkiwi replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Fine dining is great if you are on a Diet, i have been to a few in my life, large plates will little food, i am fine with basic average restaurant food. -
Looks great, bottle of Red wine goes well with lasagna, last time i had great lasagna was when i was living in Melbourne.

I prepare my room before going out for the night, anything valuable gets locked away, all i have lost in 20 years is a few bars of chocolates, which i leave out for the girls anyway, not saying things will be stolen , best to be safe than sorry, i do know of a few guys who lost stuff, cameras watches phones etc.

Scenery city hotel guest fee?
flashkiwi replied to Coffeejunkie's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Thanks, i will give up on Avani , been looking online at Hard Rock Hotel, will check to see if they have the same policy, my first time to pattaya was last March/April so still trying to figure the place out, 5 star Hotels in philippines are ok with any guest you bring to your room, i realise philippines is not a family destination compared to pattaya. -

Scenery city hotel guest fee?
flashkiwi replied to Coffeejunkie's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Checking out Avani Hotel for March trip, hard to get a straight answer on anything, i asked about joiner fee above the room rate, i received this; i asked them to clarify the companion fee when i am booking in as 2 people, have not received an answer yet. According to your question, the information for visitor there is companion fee for the visitor(s) who has no registration at our hotel at 1,000 baht net per person. For your safety and security, the visitor(s) need to deposit their ID card(s) to drop at our security desk. Additionally, hotel benefits are not covered for your vis -

Road Rage and Its Aftermath
flashkiwi replied to Evil Penevil's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
i feel sorry for his daughter to witness this, if he had done that in aussie , they would throw the book at him big time, senseless road rage, bite your tongue and move on. -
Totally agree, for the price the food is fine, if you are on a budget and your taste buds don't mind, the food will keep you alive i think.

i passed it everyday on my last trip staying at Areca,Kiss always busy, i tried it once, cheap and very basic food, had most of my lunches at coffee club, a bit pricey but good food.

I am e-mailing Avani regarding wifi and few other requirements, i will ask them about guest joiner fee, i only have one guest at a time anyway, booking for 2 people, so what kind of joiner fee would a short time be. they have added 3 pieces of laundry free a day, looking at the website rooms have been renovated.

I eat at cafe France at Robinson in Manila, very good, place is spotless never been sick from the food there, G-point is good, swagman has a few good buffet type deals, food around Manila has improved over the years, but nothing to write home about, one bonus, i always lose weight in the philippines on my trips.

Manila is a good hunting ground for freelancers, quite a few students looking for a quick earn, i stick to Ermita, know the place well now, some nice drinking bars around mabini area, a few bars with girls for lease,G-point is a good starting point scored a few there over the years, has a good happy hour and 110p sml normal price, they do run specials aswell, food is good bit overpriced but not crazy prices.I keep out of Makati, nice place but stupid prices, i can get just as good in Ermita heaps cheaper, the waitress girls do go out when they get to know you over a few nights, grab their cel

This was my 103 trip to Angeles/Manila, the good old days are gone as we all know, Angeles City is going down hill, i have never seen so many beggars and street children around, the police don't seem to care anymore, more massage girls on the streets, so many Trikes it's hard to walk anywhere some days-nights, getting hard to get a cold beer in the bars, if you don't say very cold, you will get a semi cold beer, food is at its worst, but still demanding top dollar/ peso. You can still get good girls in the bars, takes time and allot of bar hopping, i found one Gem, did not let her go, nex

Just returned from my 3 week trip to Angeles city 2 days ago, the place is going down hill more, which i thought was impossible, i agree it is cheaper than pattaya, but the bad points make pattaya heaven, menstruation seems to be the word of the year, LD 300 even mango juice, some bars will not serve singles now, hard to find a slim girl in some bars, most are overweight and asking 3k bf, i managed to get hold of a couple of slim attractive girls, one stayed with me 11 nights, it's hard work looking for hot girls that want to BF,most are happy with drinks only these days, most bars are dead e

Hotel recommendation wanted
flashkiwi replied to midlifecrisis's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
My 2 weeks at Areca in Evergreen wing went well, i find some of the staff are not that friendly, rooms are great for the price, internet SUCKED BIG TIME,complaining to the reception staff was a waste of time. Swimming pool was very good and very clean, menu meals average at best, free Breakfast very good, there coffee is shit, wont stay there again, to far from walking street. They have a Barbecue cook up out side at night next to the bar on the street very cheap, spotlessly clean and good quality, i ate there most nights, best food value at the Hotel. i rate the Hotel 7/10. -
