  1. I hate this... when walking down from Soi Diana you cant use the sidewalk anymore because they expanded the seating area. Doesn't sound too bad but when there is alot of traffick it actually is quite annoying
  2. Is there anyone that makes money from running a newly bought beer-bar nowadays?
  3. I've been out drinking with two brazlian dancer girls from the Zicos in Samui and they were definatly open for side business!
  4. The German guy on Thappraya Soi 9 is indeed the best around. He's no dentist though, just a dental technician and does all the lab work but he employs 5 Thai dentists. The quality of the lab work is good European standard and he does lots of export work for Swiss and German dentists as well
  5. I'm always amazed how many half-eaten khanoms are in my fridge when I pack up... Not really sure when they consider it to be rotten.
  6. boring with server down innit?
  7. Just call the 1-2-Call English callcenter and ask them to put you in the promotion that gives you one year validity with every top-up
  8. I like the atmosphere there but the food... hmmm! I'm not British, so can't judge it really, but find the breakfast quite bad. I mean its not horrible but that is almost impossible to do... we're talking about frying an egg, some bacon and a sausage, add some canned baked beans and a slice of toast, filling a glass with weird orange splash and preparing some instant coffee. A good breakfast in my world consists at least of freshly squeezed juice and some proper brewed coffee, but you can't expect that for 90 baht I know.
  9. What many don't know (because the hotel doesn't openly promote it) is that you don't need to take the free breakfast and can get 100 baht discount on the room instead.
  10. sadly there don't seem to be many art connoisseurs on this board! at least I can count on your taste of the fine arts...
  11. While enjoying breakfast at the Chow Soy recently, I decided to draw a picture of the soi and its people... hope you like! Came out of retirement just for you
  12. I like your business, not for the food nor for the rooms but it has personality and provides a homely feeling in this ever changing shithole. The world for a western pattaya whoremonger is still intact as long as you serve the lovely orange splash and slightly different tasting brown sauce!
  13. So Dave gave the Logan login info to a good customer returning to England in the next few days and instructed him to post from there? Good plan!
  14. Liquid lounge got a private entrance...
  15. I found to be the rooms above the Chow Soy Restaurant to be the best value for money in Patts, especially the large room... Liquide Lounge is alright as well but was a shabby when I stayed there compared to previous stays... but with most good guesthouses now charging up to 1k I find that the cheap Hotels like PBR and BJ Lodge provide a better product for the bath.
