Don't look guest friendly. May stay there myself if they have a gym. Here's a synopsis of some of hotels around there; http://www.smarttravelasia.com/bangkokhotel.htm

Selling your UK house to move to LOS?
valentinoxxx replied to Lancashirelad's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Different strokes for different folks. I don't see any one location as paradise. Stay there long enough and you'll see the downside. I spend around six months annually in that part of the world, so I can appreciate the positive things in that region as well as the good things about the UK and other regions. So many who reckon they are living there, need to leave to go back to their respective countries to generate more funds. For me, I regard it as an extended holiday, happy to know that I can leave at any time. Spend your money wisely. -
3kms from the beach is what is written on the website. Doesn't look too far from Soi BuaKaow, if you like that sort of thing.

Since they accuse the website host of not updating the rates there seems little point in following that particular route. Maybe beeter to check the price for high season and ask when low season kicks in. Then make a low seaon booking, if the price is right.

Selling your UK house to move to LOS?

Surely the rate of return depends on your outlay. So a blanket statement about interest bearing accounts being better than rental yields are just plain silly. -

I would say so. You would just have to wait on the corner of Pattaya Tai and Second Road.

Selling your UK house to move to LOS?

I agree with the not selling. I A terraced house in my part of London yields around 180,000 baht per month in rental income. I would only considering renting in Thailand, as I like the idea of being free to be wherever I want to be. -
Bella villa Prima - Soi 4
valentinoxxx replied to kutetee's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Thanks for that... Though I've made a bookside on a beachside hotel now. If anyone needs a couple of standard rooms at the Bella Villa Prima from the 9th, I can substitute their names. -

Did they ask for credit card details? I'm not keen on giving them mine. -

Didn't know about the open ticket thing. Thought that you had to choose a date, any date. Open meaning, date changeable with no penalty. At £546 for an Econ ticket, that sounds about right for that time of year. I normally buy my 12 month fully date changeable ticket in Thailand, so that I can make sure that I can have a peak season return to Thailand if I wish it.

Had some friends staying near there. Though they had a motor bicycle. 10 baht to Carrefour, if that's the route the taxi is taking. Bit of a pain staying there I imagine, if you don't have your own transport.

He's clearly an idiot and certainly not worth even the time used in replying. He'll go away if all ignore him. He's so isolated and desperate for attention that he doesn't care how he gets it. My advice, don't communicate with him or even write about him. I'll write no more on the subject. Enjoy your trip.

I seem to remember reading a thread about Asia Rooms. Something to do with no booking being made. I'll see if I can find it. Aha... http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/messagep...rentid=0&from=1 and here; http://www.travelforum.org/thailand/travel-warnings.html Doesn't look good.

About a year ago from Thailand. New equipment with seatback TVs. Go for it if the price is good.

unbelievable price for December flight
valentinoxxx replied to Barrington_Tenchanall's topic in Airline Discussion
They'll get you there. Probably a good idea to take some entertainment(music, reading matter), food and drink rations. I would. In fact, unless I'm flying Club/Business Class, I take extra food and drink with me anyway. -

Did I miss the BA Club free seat promotion?
-
Fine and dandy for you, but a pointless thread hijack all the same. As an aside, I don't travel with Thai or EVA. I prefer BA Club, as they have a proper flat bed and decent lounge services. In matters of class, I wouldn't imagine someone who associates himself with Pattaya, by naming himself PATTAYA_MAN, would be an adequate arbiter of class. By all means, spend as much money as you want to on your travel arrangements. I wouldn't even spend £1000 to fly in Royal Executive. Either way, it's irrelevant in relation to this thread topic. Up to you.
