No need to pay for a taxi from the airport(UTapao) to Pattaya. There is a Bangkok Airways bus service. It takes you to your hotel for 150 baht. The booth is situated just before you exit from the airport. A minibus from Pattaya to U Tapao airport should cost no more than 300 baht. Try a local travel agent.

Look for cash machines that have the CIRRUS sign(possibly MAESTRO too). The may not be as populous as VISA, though I have seen many in Thailand. Don't worry... At the airport in Bkk, you go to the Bangkok Airways ticket office on the lowest floor of the Domestic Terminal. Unlike the travel agents, Bkk Air will not make a CC surcharge. Ask for the Discovery Airpass and then go through your itinerary with them. There is no charge for date/time changes other than the first sector(ie Bkk - Chiang Mai). Yes it would be a good deal as each sector would cost less than 2000 baht. I think Chiang Mai - Phuket may be 2 sectors. Check this.

When the UN Inspectors came back and said so, they were told by the US that they DEFINITELY had them so the fact that Saddam Hussein hadn't come up with them meant that he was lying. So therefore the fact that he hadn't come up with them was forcing them to go to war against their will. YEAH RIGHT! So where are they? When the public looked like they weren't swallowing that, they came up with the "killing his own people" chestnut.
