  2. No can do, but I can meet her at the airport in London. Vital statistics?
  3. Boom boom....or not, as the case may be. ???
  4. I was in the Pattaya International Hospital recently having some Xrays done. The radiologist, obviously gay, asked me to remove my shorts, as the Xrays could not be done with them on. Down to my underwear, he touched my penis and exclaimed "big". Grrrrrr... I was angry. He then asked me to remove my underwear. I asked him if he was going to provide a gown. Only then did he scuttle off to get me one. I was not a happy bunny. Overall, not the most in-depth treatment, though as long as you emphasise what you want/need done there is no problem.
  5. Read what? Did you post something about your empty promises to supply cheap flights? I don't see your posts unless you jump onto a thread that I am on. So tell me, what about your 'much trumpeted'(by yourself) travel agency? Russians tourists? There's not a lot of other nationalities there(Pattaya) other Thai & Asian girls for rent. I still like the thrill of the chase. It seems that you aren't up to that anymore. Also they are not expecting me to pay for them. The last Russian girl I was with insisted on paying for the drinks and wouldn't let me pay for the taxi. The one befor
  6. In short, when you pay with a CC, the contract is between the vendor and the CC company, not yourself and the vendor. So, if you do not receive the service promised, one should contact the CC card company. Of course, you probably know this, being a such a klügscheisse.
  7. If you paid with your credit card you can claim the refund with them.
  8. I think you are mentally ill... Whatever happened to your much mooted(by yourself) travel agency? Loser.
  9. For an alternative, try KN Travel on South Pattaya Road, just up from Beach Road. Speak to Khun Joe on +6638 710 967 I happen to know that many travel agents in Pattaya source their tickets from there.
  10. Pattaya to Jomtien from the Songthaew stand is still 10 baht. 20 at a push.
  11. Airport Bus to Ekkamai, 100 baht. Aircon Bus Ekkamai to N Pattaya Road, 90 baht. Baht Bus from N Pattaya Road to your hotel 20 baht. If off the beaten track, you can charter one for up to 60 baht.

Visa, Amex and Mastercard accepted
  13. "The only way they could stop this was to give me a card that was not visa backed . This was pointless as it wouldn't be useable in a Thai atm." AS I said, this card is not VISA backed, but can be used in Thai ATMs. http://www.nationwide.co.uk/banking/curren...n/cash_card.htm
  14. Sparkey old son This is not necessarily the case. Nationwide's basic card is still usable internationally. I think via Cirrus or Maestro. Still no commissions taken. I have a similar set up, though I do trust my contact in Thailand.
  15. Can't answer the US question as I am from the UK. I can say that the 900 and 1800 frequencies are in use in Thailand, so as long as the mobile has either of those there will be no compatibility problems there. Refer to the first post of the thread for compatible networks.
  16. It comes down to whether they have the software to unlock the telephone yet. Try unlocking it in the UK, to save yourself the hassle of carrying it around if they can't unlock it in Thailand. For casual LOS use, pick up an second hand model at MBK, for 1000 baht or less.
  17. There will be a Bangkok Airways bus at U Tapao airport to shuttle you to your hotel for 150 baht. Anyone planning to take multiple(two or more) trips with Bkk Air should consider their Discovery Airpass. I've just done Bkk - Samui - Bkk - Samui for 6000 baht...
  18. Best travel agent in Pattaya, IMO is KN Travel(The one mentioned earlier). Speak to Khun Joe on 038 710 967. They are the cheapest, no doubt. If there is a flight to be found, he should find it. There are too many agents in Bkk to pinpoint just one, though KN's head office is in Bkk. If you wish to use EVA Air's direct service(Econ or Premium Econ) use http://www.atninter.com/
  19. Good ideas. But the panoply of policies will only serve to confuse you. What may look like a cheaper policy will cost you in terms of policy excesses and trip length to name but two catches. Don't bother, go for the cheaper option if you're strapped for cash or the LV with the excess waiver option if you want comprehensive cover. I'm assuming a policy covering you for a years worth of travelling is what you want, seeing as you didn't mention how long your trip was for and how many you would be taking. Both I mentioned are Worldwide policies, not the cheaper european policies you'l
  20. Willis First Response 0800 224422 54 pounds for annual travel insurance. Can have as many trips as you like of up to 60 days duration. If your trips are closer to three months duration, try; Liverpool Victoria 0800 373 905 http://www.liverpoolvictoria.co.uk/custome...otecting/travel Tip for LV, leave out the USA/Canada option, if you don't plan to go there. Cuts the premium substantially. You can add waiver excess if you wish. Don't bother shopping around, you won't find anything better, if you are looking for annual insurance. :)
  21. For proximity to the beach/sea; http://www.siamhotels.com/sbs.html http://www.siamhotels.com/sbs-facts.html Ask for beachfront room. If beach proximity is not the most important thing; http://www.sunshinevista.com/rates.htm Not sure about the 'Guest friendliness' of the the Dusit ans Siam Bayshore. Though, maybe, with the more expensive rooms there will be no petty 'extras'. Sunshine Apartments are 'friendly'.
  22. YES, you should reconfirm. If you want to stay for another week you would have to call the airline anyway to see if they have availability.
  23. You could try http://www.searchtravels.com/ They have Bkk/Manila/Bkk listed for 7800 baht with Kuwait Airways or Best Buy Tickets by emailing Pattrawon @ bestbuyt@ksc.th.com
