  1. Upena, It's there...I personally saw the rooms. Look under hotel reviews and you'll see the reviews. Opened in February i believe. It's newer...located on a small Soi between Soi 7 and Soi 8 towards 2nd road from Pig & Whistle. Cheers, Mark
  2. Location is Pattaya.....between Soi 7 and Soi 8. Cheers, Mark
  3. Any info. on a website or how to make reservations for this one? Thanks in advance! Mark
  4. Hello- Anyone interested in hooking up for a trip to Laos let me know. I'm in LOS now and can go anytime before October 19th. Need a visa stamp as well as take a look at some locals! ;D ;D Cheers, Mark
  5. Well, I've just done a post and my pics look like red X's in it and no pic to view. ???? What have I done wrong? Cheers, Mark
  6. Hello- As of 3 weeks ago when I stayed there were no joiner fees or hassles. Treated guests well. If you want more info about the hotel PM me or look under hotel reviews. I wrote one but not sure if it's been posted yet. Cheers, Mark
  7. I flew Cathay from LAX-Bkk in August and must say...I was not impressed at all. Other than the TV monitor at each seat, it's not one step above any other. in fact, i counted 1 hour 20 minutes after a meal was served before the trays were collected again! Just my 2 satang worth, Mark
  8. Hello Guys.. Well I want to post the flip side of the coin for Alex. I know that everyone has raved about his service but there is also a pitfall that hit me last friday and I hope it's an exception for Alex and not the rule. Nevertheless, I want to be sure you are all aware. I confirmed a ride from Sukhumvit to Don Muang and then on to Pattaya with Alex about two weeks prior and he confirmed it. He was to pick me up at 10am in the Nana lobby. 10.10 came around and I called him on his mobile and he immediately knew me and said, "it's today?" I told him yes and he told me to give him 10
  9. Thanks for everyone's feedback! I've got a room at the Woraburi Inn and will do a hotel review once I get there and see what kind of dive it is! 14 hours and wheels up! Mark
  10. Upena, I've sent requests on their site now for 4 days and they've not responded! I'm hoping ot get a confirmation for a junior suite. :-) Cheers, Mark
  11. Derek, I once thought about the Majestic Suites but they have no pool and the rooms are TINY. You will notice that there are absolutley NO pics of there rooms on any website. I don't doubt the rooms are clean and modern, i'm just scared that if I come home and walk in the door, trip over the bed and my head falls thru the window onto Sukhumvit! The rooms just sound too small for me. Thanks for the imput though. Mark
  12. Emil, I needed to make a pit stop in BKK for a short period on this trip and you are right...I'm tired of going to gold shops with Soi7's girls to get his gifts for him. One time Soi 7 gave me 20,000 baht and asked me to pick up his friend at Jenny Star bar and to go shopping for something nice. That's where I draw the line! ;D ;D Thanks for the good recommendations! 2 days and wheels up! Mark
  13. What recommendations do you have for a decent room at a hotel in Sukhumvit that's priced less than 1800 baht? I need to be near the BTS. I know about Nana....anything else? Thanks in advance for any help... Mark
  14. Derek, 7 days and I'll be there. Would be happy to post any specials I see running. Flipper is baht 700 if that helps at all.... Cheers, Mark
  15. If Soi 7 shot 3 hours of video the last 2 hours 59 minutes of it had to be of him sleeping/snoring while his teeruk sat and continued to read a book. ;D ;D ;D Cheers, Mark P.S. Were you able to at least get out of your shoes this time Soi 7?
  16. It was not so long ago that I got a call from a so-called "buddy" telling me that Cathay Pacific is a great airline and that LAX-BKK is on "sale" for $775 all included. It didn't take much to get me to book based on a buddies lead. Within 1 week Cathay offered a $249 special for the same flight! Now, 10 days before wheels up, the same flight is also their "special of the month" at $549. Since I booked, the flight has never been higher than the $775 I paid. Now, I would never hold grudges...WOULD I SOI 7??? But, where are you buying me my first beer!!! ;D ;D Chok Dee, Mark
  17. Soi 7- I'm glad it's confirmed. Are you referring to your last BF when you mention "it's like a hole in the ground full of water?" ;D ;D Chok Dee, Mark
  18. Hello- I was there in May and the pool was being built. Can anyone tell me if it's completed and what it's like? Cheers, Mark
  19. I would bet that Soi 7 can talk to this topic....the first stop he makes with a TG is usually at a gem/gold shop so he can drape them in the finest of jewels. Chok Dee, Mark
  20. Thanks for the help guys, I book Singapore Airlines for 28,000 baht ($670) round trip for a friend. Singapore I see is rated 5 stars. Thanks again, Mark
  21. Kjvegas- Actually, LAX/BKK round trip on Cathay is $599 plus tax for July and August. I'm booked for it already but bought before their promotion began of $599. What I am looking for is Bangkok to LAX and return. Flight originating in BKK and ending in BKK. Mark
  22. Hello- Trying to book BKK to LAX and in the states I'm getting outrageous fares quoted to me. Right now, Cathay is offering $599 R/T from LAX to BKK. But, when I book it in reverse, it doubles! Anyone have any ideas on websites for BKK travel agents that I might be able to log onto and sort this out? Thanks, Mark
  23. Hello- I asked the same question some time ago and the answer was a resounding YES. From LAX to BKK it's about $150 more and many said it was well worth it. I've always flown Thai so I can't give you my experience first hand on EVA. Mark
  24. Soi7- Speaking of playing switch....is this what you are talking about? JimmyBB....before you begin your flaming, yes I brought 4 beach balls back from the pool all tucked under my shirt! ;D ;D Cheers!
  25. Soi7- I cooked last night and you did dishes...remember our agreement? It's your turn to cook tonight. Hurry home soon teeruk!
