Yep, that is the biggest draw back IMO

I dont mind stretching my legs for an hour or so, and they have done a lot of Modernisation at Abu Dhabi. Duty Free cheep as chips. Get a few bottles of water off the plane, as its a rip off at the airport. Has been 7 years since I have flown with them, and they were not bad. Food not great, but when is it ever. I am wondering if we are finally feeling the benefits of cheaper oil ? I paid more for the same flight 7 years ago.

Just seen this deal. I have flown with Etihad a few times in the past and they were OK. Certainly not the worst of airlines IMO. Short stop over in Abu Dhabi Showing at £360 Return at the moment with Lastminute.com. (plus 5 pence) Then I realised that it covers Songkran for those dates But it might interest some who like or dont mind Songkran EDIT Just checked for dates after Songkran in April -May and still showing £360

Th Golden Virginia at the King Power DF is cosher and I have been smoking it for years, on account that several frequent visitor friends of mine, who are non smokers are kind enough to bring it back for me. Even with the price hikes recently, a pack of 5x50 grams works out at just under £20 I the UK, the same quantity would cost me around £87 but sold in single 50g packs. The product is the same as in the UK, except the baccy bought in King Power has very graphic symbols on the packaging, like cancerous lungs and rotting teeth etc, which I can live with. The cost of production must be minimal and the rest is Tax. The price of a 200 cigarette carton of Benson & Hedges in the UK is around £52 or slightly more. That is around 2600 baht per sleeve I dont know what the current price of B&H is in King Power but I suspect it is around the 800 baht mark So in 7/11 I dont mind paying £2 for a pack of cigarettes, even though they used to be a lot cheaper. The price of Tobacco is always rising, because it is the easiest commodity to tax, along with alcohol and supposedly done on health issues. I have seen Thai brand rolling tobacco sold in the shop at the bottom of Klang. I bought a pack on my last trip, but it was pretty ropey to say the least. And, as with Krong Thip cigarettes is is like smoking asbestos
