Guest house with a relaxing ambience and a friendly atmosphere. Situated on Soi 3, Pattaya 2nd Road.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Gold Vault Inn. I was visiting Fort Knox and expected a motel so close to a military installation to be shabby. Instead, the rooms were spacious and well-appointed, including refrigerator, microwave, and wireless internet access. The rate was reasonable, too. I will definitely stay there again.

There is nothing like this place in the price range in Patong. Centrally loacated, beautifully designed, (think charming not flashy) and super friendly, Kelly's is now our favourite hotel in the world. The owner Dan and his family were very laid back and unobtrusive but were always on hand with advice about what to do and where to go, what to pay etc. The rooms were large, clean and everything in them worked, perfectly. It is a ten minute walk to the beach and nightlife but only five minutes from the shopping areas, a small price to pay for this sort of quality at this sort of price. Can't recommend the place highly enough, if you are looking for a budget priced hotel with excellent facilities and a swimming pool too, look no further then Kelly's.

I went to Pattaya for my first time in November. Let me tell you what a fantastic holiday I had. I have been all over the world but Pattaya takes some beating for anyone who is single of any age. I went with a friend who had been there a few times and it made the holiday so much better knowing where to go, what to do, and what to avoid. It can very intimidating and overwhelming all the things you will see and experience and all girls throwing themsevles at you takes some getting use to. I am not fat, old, ugly, or bald, not that it matters here. I can get plenty at home, but my god nowhere near as stunning or as sexy as these girls. Some of them range from perfect 10's to just mind blowing dreams. A must is a visit to SOI 6 better known as "SHORT TIME " street. But don't be shouting your mouth off that you have been or go there, not even the normal bar girls like to know you go. Its one long street of short time bars with bedrooms upstairs of stunning young women. All for 500 baht, plus bar fine. Two places at the bottom of particular interest are "MANDARINS" and "MY FIRENDS BAR". The best two streets, where I actually stayed are SOI 7 and SOI 8. Rows of bars upon bars full of ladies all waiting for you and only 1,000 baht for the whole night. And man did I have some long wild nights here and back at my room. Do learn a few Thai phrases especially compliments for the girls. Goes a long way, so does being polite and corteous. Another absolute must is to visit a massage parlour for a Thai body massage. The experience alone is enough to make your head explode. There is about half a dozen in Pattaya, not hard to find so I suggest you type in a search engine on the net "massage parlours pattaya". And it gives you addresses of where they are. I visited a place on 2nd road called "the coffee shop". Big white building. Wow, what an experience! I wont go into any detail, but a became a regular, and ended up seeing a girl from here. LIN number 249... well I hope this helps some of you out there. Got lots more to tell you. I could write a book just on my 2 weeks there and already booked my 2 return visits for this year. Thats how good it is. Enjoy!.

We have both eaten at countless Indian restaurants, mainly in the UK, where the food is second only to that of India of course, and at Royal Cliffs we had one of the most delicious meals we have ever had. You must try the lassies, and if you have room be sure to sample some starters before diving into the incredible options of mains. We had a chicken and lamb dish that was out of this world. We had to ask after our meal, and as it turns out the chef is in fact Indian, does it get any more authentic than that! The atmosphere was ideal, as we could see the ocean, and there was even a beautiful terrace for those who wished to dine outside. If there were not so many other great choices, I am sure we would have gone back, although our time was limited and we had to try the Thai place as well (which I would also highly recommend). Bon Appetite everyone!

The renowned French restaurant Au Bon Coin recently moved from its colourful South Pattaya location of many years to delightful new premises in the Pratumnak area of Jomtien. Au Bon Coin is still owned and run by jovial restaurateur chef Jose Cohen and partner Khun Orathai who presents a small but exceptional menu with international dishes using the freshest ingredients of the day plus wonderful authentic French regional recipes including those from Jose’s native Auvergne region of France. The cuisine of Auvergne in Central France is noted for hearty country style ‘peasant’ food, plus salted hams, dried sausages and internationally famous Tome de Cantal cheese. The new bistro style Au Bon Coin is located in a two storey house in its own grounds half way along a small road between Soi 5 and 6 off Pratumnak Road. The interior of this unpretentious restaurant is reminiscent of an elegant French wooden chalet with subdued lighting and an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. There is also an outside terrace area available for smokers. There are two menus to choose from: a regular and a daily Special menu. The regular menu contains a small assortment of homemade soups such as Onion Gratinee (120 baht), salads (Nicoise at 130 baht) and specialty French starters like Duck Pate (140 baht) or the classic Rillettes Pate (120 baht). Seafood starters are available such as Stuffed Mussels (120 baht) and Shrimps Sauteed in Pastis (250 baht). The main courses include meat served either charcoal grilled like Rib Eye (390 baht) and Pork Tenderloin (190 baht) or with sauces such as Duck with Green Peppercorn Sauce (290 baht) or Tenderloin with Mushroom Sauce (390 baht). One of the house specialties is the classic Boeuf Bourguignon (290 baht). The fish dishes served depend on what is fresh that day in the markets. This evening, Parrot Fish and Red Snapper Meuniere dishes were available at 290 baht each. There is also a small Thai food menu provided all at 150 baht each dish. The Special Daily menu had an assortment of mainly French recipes including starters such as Foie Gras de Canard (390 baht) and Goat Cheese Spring Rolls (170 baht) and main courses such as Duck leg in Red Wine (290 baht) and Rabbit Stew (370 baht). We sampled an assortment of the delicious starters, being a slice of Quiche Lorraine (120 baht), a wonderfully creamy textured egg, cheese and bacon mixture in a light flaky pastry case. The Country Pate (120 baht) was very rich and flavoursome and went well with the excellent bread and rolls served with it. This was followed by Scallops Meuniere (230 baht). A plate full of juicy queen scallops in a light cream sauce. For the main course we tried the excellent Beef Tenderloin Steak (350 baht) and Pork Tenderloin (190 baht) both were tender and succulent being charcoal grilled to perfection and served with a selection of crunchy vegetables and creamy mashed potato. The fish dish we sampled was Indian Halibut Steak with a Shrimp Sauce (290 baht). This was an excellent combination of a flaky fish cutlet with a light seafood sauce. Finally, we tried a house special, Lamb with Flageolets (370 baht). This was an amazingly rich and powerful Lamb Stew; tender chunks of lean boneless Lamb Fillet that is cooked for 5 hours with Flageolet Beans.

The Best Sushi All U Can eat Place in Pattaya?
Dodo replied to sponio's topic in Restaurants and food
Shabushi on 6th floor...good place...worth the money, but on Wednesday, their competitor "Hot Pot" across the way (same floor) offer 25% discount on the bill. Really can't beat that price...comes to 217 after tip and tax. Pros for Hot Pot: Better selection of sushi Better desserts cheaper price (on Wednesday) Don't have to wait for the conveyor belt Better atmosphere, not a mad house Also have dim sum, but it wasn't fresh...not good. Pros for Shabushi: Fresher meats Shrimp on the conveyor belt Offer choice of tom yum or regular broth Have shrimp tempura (although never in a rush to refill it) For all the pros handed to Hot Pot, I still have to go with Shabushi, if both are priced the same since I really like the tom yum broth and I love shrimp tempura...but next time Wednesday rolls around and you can get Hot Pot for 25% off...it's by far the better deal...check it out. -
I can't recommend the restaurant highly enough. Hugh does a marvelous job there at very reasonable prices. The food is always excellent, beautifully presented, and the service is superb. If you have not tried the Symphony restaurant, then you are missing a wonderful dining experience
