  1. Hi Den Flown Etihad 4 times now,( albeit to different desintations), and i cant find anything to wrong them on. On my BKK flights, both leg stopovers were only 2 hours each way, so no real problems there. Ok, Abu Dhabi is proberly 1 of the smallest international airports you will ever come across, with not very much in the duty free area, but for only 2 hours, its passable to wait. Etihad itself, always had plenty of legroom, IFE has more than enough movies to keep you entertained(and all new releases as well), the food is not bad, for airline food, and me and my mate were always served beer on tap whenever we wanted it.
  2. Sorry.

  6. Fantastic film. Seann William Scott
  7. From the photos of this soi that i have seen on another board, i would think that cars/taxis would either drop you off at the top or bottom of this soi, and then you would have to make your own way to the hotel by foot.

  10. Just posting some random shots of Pattaya that i took on my last visit back in April 2011.
  11. Again, Mods please feel free to move this to the correct section, thank you......................... Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August. Booked hotel through Booking.com, and actually founs that the price was quoted was the price i paid. At 2000baht a night, its not cheap, but it is great value. Had a room on the 11th floor, with fantastic views of the beach and Walking street/South Pattaya. Rooms comprises of a HUGE double bed, a fair sized balcony, flat screen tv with all the usual cable channels, and fairly fast wifi( recorded the down speed at 9 meg).A nice sized bathroom with a walkin shower, and a large sized bath. A nice sized swimming pool out front, and a fairly well stocked out gym room. I was never up in time to sample the buffet breakfast, but by all accounts it is meant to be good.
  12. Only in Thailand......LOL
  13. I have no idea how to actually post a hotel review in the correct section, so Mods please feel free to move this to the correct place............... Booked this apartment through Booking.com. Orginally booked a superior studio, but they upgraded me to a 1 bedroom apartment upon check in. (it seems that there is only 1 studio per floor, and 7 floors to the building, so book this room and pretty much gaurateed an upgrade).Paid only the studio price of 1750 baht a night, so was pleased with the upgrade. Beautiful large room, plenty of space, and a huge walkin wardrobe. The usual Truevisions channels on the tv, surround sound system, an ok kitchen, fast(10meg) free wifi with the hardest login password i have ever seen. There is a breakfast included, but its basically just tea/coffee, mixed fresh fruits and juices and some breads. They is also an onsite self service laundry, and a ok equiped gym. Located on a short soi just off Sathorn Road and very close to Lumpini MRT. K bank at one end of the road, and a 7-11 and a very good Issan food restaurant at the other end. Would i stay here again, yes. Its a good place and i quite like it. Around a 10 min walk to Patpong, so cant really complain. View from the balcony.............
  14. Taken 2 years ago, but im sure it jasn't changed at all on the inside. ( Except for maybe the car).
  15. Ive always enjoyed flying with Bangkok Airways. I like the way that they have lounge's for ALL of their passanger's. The lounge in BKK(as well as all their other domestic lounges), has free wifi, and a number of free internet terminals for use. A smallish selection of snacks and hot and cold drinks. Its not a large selection to choose from, but could any of you see BA, Easyjet or any other muppet airline in the EU providing this kind of service for there passangers.???? Photos from BKK lounge.............. Photos from Phuket Intl lounge................
  16. Ive only been on the board for 1 day, but i have to say that this software is different from all other boards. Im sure i'll get used to it soon enough.

  18. Sorry, these were taken back in September. Im just copying some of my threads from other boards, so as to add content on Talk.
  19. I live less than 1km from the end of LHR runway, the fog last night was a right pee-souper, but as of now at 09.24am, i cant see any fog what so ever.!!
  20. She didnt know i was pointing a camera at her. I presume she was just having a quiet/boring night on the prowl.

  23. I know quite a few people on here have a interest in all things military or aviation related, so after visiting back in September, i thought i would post the photos here for all to see. Located on the other side of Don Mueang airport(right next door to the military base),entrance is free, you can get up and personell with most planes, and with quite a few you can get in and out of and sit up in the cockpits. Be careful if taking a taxi here, as just about any taxi driver in the BKK central area will not know where this place is.( even after i showed them the map, which was printed in Thai). Enjoy. #
  24. My usual airline of choice would normally be any of the Middle east carriers.(Emirates, Etihad, Qatar). I will try my best to pick one of these, depending on price, and stopover times. Ive flown Eva and Thai to BKK before. The only problem i find with Thai is the lack of IFE, apart from that, they are fine. Eva seem to have some strange policy of cancelling flights from LHR, so would think twice about booking with them.
