Planning to let out the GFs 2 bed apartment at some point. 1 big and 1 small room. Big room already sorted with a double bed. Now, I can buy a single 4.5 tog duvet, with covers and pillows from Argos here in the UK for less than £18, say B850. Then just ad a single bed when I arrive. The question is can I get 'em cheaper there, and where from? Also, is 4.5 tog gonna be too hot? 2.5 tog are available here, but the price goes up bigstyle. I ask because last time i was ove in Patts, the cost of duvets and covers in Big C extra seemed way ott. Cheers!

Would appreciate it hombre. Has to beat the arse off the mule method!

Right, plan B. What are the other brands called that your gf thought superior, and where can they be purchased? Cheers!

I would have thought the same. So, no point in dragging a four portion family grill out there if it aint gonna work. Can't say I fancy quadrupling the price and probably doubling the weight by jumping in for the transformer too. Hmmmm, back to the drawing board it seems....

Basic and cheap? Me all over lol. cheers!

Good site. I saved it!

Just love these things, and one strategically placed in the room will greatly enhance tilaks ability to knock up a decent steak and eggs at silly o'clock in the morning. But, can Big C provide, or do i have to resort to the long haul? Cheers!

Not as much fun though, and 'er, I don't want to buy a bike in Bangkok thanks. I stay in Patts. Always use a local man when you can.

Hey, thanks for that. The club looks great apart from the early starts lol. (on hols, right?). Still, I've saved it and will give it a go later if not sooner. Have to sort out the bike first. Can't remember the name of the shop can you? If not tilak may know it with a bit of luck. Cheers!

Wish I had the time to spend my evenings googling, but sadly not retired and blessed with the sedate lifestyle yet. As for the safety aspect, the missus lives out of town on the way to Rayong and there are scores of traffic free dirt tracks to navigate. Have to karry a stick for the rabid dogs I s'pose. As for make, quality, no. Not after a "real" racing bike. Claude Butler can keep his. Just looking for something to knock out my usual 20k on. Here I ride a Flightline Harro. Paid about £300 for it and does the job. Cheers. Afterthought: What about Big C or Tesco Lotus? Are they into leisure ge

Guys! It would appear "her indoors" has just moved the goalposts on my mate. Apparently she has her fragile little heart set on staying in a "VILLA". (they usually go to spain i guess) I'm thinking a detached bungelow type set up with maybe 3 bedrooms. Not sure I have seen much of that ilk around, except the Diana Inn has some poolside dwellings out the back. Of course, that is why I'm on here seeking your help. I really hope to find something suitable, as he (my mate) has been working on this trip for years. We all know why lol, right? Cheers fellas...

A friend of mine has just booked his first trip to Thailand. He will be traveling with his wife and 2 teenage children. He will be in Pattaya for 7 days and asked if I could reccomend somewhere suitable for family. I suggested Jomtien, as it is removed from the madness in Pattay, but near enough for him to nip in for a little unmentionable as chance arises. I'm not that well informed about Jomtien though. Can anyone suggest a decent hotel, with the beach/pool thing going on? Say mid to upper range? Thanks......

If I buy a condo, is it subject to 7(%) Government Tax, and if so is it included in the selling price or slipped in at the death as an unpleasant suprise?
