The chicken schnitzel for 150 baht is huge. I'm usually not too high on deep fried/french fries but have it on occasion, also seems to be soaking up the booze just fine. This place is so well laid out, really a shame that it doesn't seem to be doing well. Thai visa had a thread on this, anyone has an update by any chance?

It's really hard to miss it, Marine disco is your best bet if you come from WS. Thanks for the photos Evil, they bring back memories. I, for one haven't eaten there for awhile, so I believe a nice evening meal is long overdue, and your thread reminded me not to forget bringing good company.

Nothing beats smoked salmon with capers and a splash of balsamic vinegar accompanied by toast with butter, caviar sorry, fish eggs on top and some dry champagne. The ideal Sunday brunch in bed with Devon Aoki...

The trick is to eat it before the ice melts but the key word is gravity and the salmon is on top. True, it is raw salmon as opposed to smoked salmon which does make a difference. I love them both though... "Colourful, but is that how it is presented to the customer at the table?" and I bet your name isn't JSpence either. Or is it?

Uhm...if you're referring to this last batch, I did not have any beef. The lamb was not bad though, but the best was the parrot fish (hardly visible on the pic) and duck liver is my weakness.

Visited again last night. Still the best value in town IMHO.

They constantly confuse 'spicey' with 'lots of chili' that is a fact.

This is buffet, you make the portions yourself but there's no way I could eat more than this. The thing is that you have approx. 15 kinds of different dishes.

It's strange that my reply to this did not register from my Galaxy and this is the third time this has been happening. Anyhow, the bottom line was that it was sparse but tasted good regardless. My constant complaint about Thai food here is that they think if the customer is farang they have to hold back on the spices. I long for the Thai dishes I had in Kuwait. Here the garlic chicken is dry and practically tasteless, there was juicy and full, I mean full of garlic

Went to this hidden little Italian restaurant off Buakhao about one block South of Lengkee the other day. Fairly inexpensive homemade Italian food with an extensive menu, nothing fancy but good in a friendly atmosphere. Had some Burro and Salvia, Bruschette con Aglio, Pesto and Pommodoro e Basilico.

The "kitchen" on the balcony is very basic but you can make anything you like if that's what you fancy, personally I wouldn't bother for the whole place is full of cheap eateries. I am just putting these up to show some variations but if the OP thinks my pics are misleading, I will remove them. I have no dog in this fight whatsoever.
