  1. Ah the Dam,used to be a very nice cheap place before the introduction of the Euro. I used to live in Holland for a few years. Leiden,Delft,Gouda,Purmerend and Hoopdorf. Had many a good time there. Was great when they had the Guilder and the girls charged 50 guilder which came out at about £18 if my memory serves me well. Now they charge 50 Euros which comes out at about £50,well it did until the Euro crashed a bit. You used to be able to go buy a big bag of skunk for 25 Guilder and a crate of beer was a fiver and you got money back when you took the bottles back. The TV had BBC 1&2 on it and the British newspapers were available every morning. Most of the Dutch spoke English and were very friendly including a few Dutch girl friends I had.
  2. Pentaband, new on me.I have not entered the smart phone age yet.
  3. You want to ask them for a quad band phone. Quad band phone will cover all the world or it should. If you buy copies then you might have problems. Any good mobile phone dealer will be able to tell you the best phone and the bands it has. 850mhz is America and a few other places in the Americas. If you just want a phone that works on 850 mhz then just ask them, they should have them or be able to get one I should think. Just to add,I would have thought that all top notch smart phones would be quad band and work anywhere in the world. Telecom in New Zealand use two frequencies, 850/2100 mhz Vodaphone use 900/2100 mhz so your phone should work on telecom if it works on Vodaphone. Most phones companies in Thailand run on 850mhz but if your copy was made in China then they run on 2100mhz,maybe that is where your problem is,in that it is a copy phone from China that has been programed for 2100 mhz only but still it should work on telecom in New zealand. My advice,do not buy a copy.

  5. You have to go to more reply options and at the bottom of the page is the attach images from your computer. If you do it in the compact mode then it only gives you the option to load from a url. Click more reply options down the bottom right of the reply page
  6. Nice pics. You could have booked a minbus tour which are pretty cheap. they go to a local village to ride on the Elephants, raft down the river then they go to Hell Fire Pass and the Museum there. Meal included in some place by the road. After that they head to a local water fall and then to the train which takes you back to Bridge on the River Kwai and then back to your hotel. I forget how much it was but I think about 800-1000 baht. Nice day out.
  7. The good old days. Can't beat them.
  8. Nice pics. I like Kanchanaburi, well not the city as such but the out lying area is very nice. Did you end up eating in KFC by any chance?
  9. They play football in Thailand? I thought they just watched the Premier league on TV.
  10. According to IP boards forum that option is gone and will not be coming back. http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/362706-number-of-posts-to-show-per-page-user-setting/?do=findComment&comment=2271715
  11. No,if you tick the box it ignores all signatures. Below that box are members you are ignoring and below that is another bigger box to enter names of members you want to ignore with another 3 smaller tick boxes by the side where you can ignore their posts, signatures or messages. If you tick the box at the top of the page then you will ignore all signatures. It works,I have already done it.
  12. You have to go to the ignore preferences in your settings menu and at the top of that is a box you can tick to ignore signatures. Cannot find anything about ignoring avatars.
  13. So you are sailing a long when all of a sudden there is a huge storm and the ship you are on hits a rock and sinks. You spy an Island you think you can make it to and have the chance to save some others or something else. What's your choice going to be? The poll is just a few examples, please feel free to choose your own if none of those take your fancy.
  14. I was having a problem with copy and paste on this forum but it seems that you have to right click where the cursor is in the reply box to paste. Clicking somehwhere else in the box generally does not bring up the option to paste. That is a bit strange as normally on any other web site you just click anywhere in the box and you can paste into it. Hope that helps. Just figured out that you can also click on the first little clip board symbol on the top right of the reply box called paste and a box will appear that you can paste into and that will go into your post.
  15. High Sierra.

  18. I cannot say I am a fan of Apple. I built my own desktop, high end and cost me about £200. To spend like £1249 on an apple imac is just plain daft if you ask me,that's the UK price.
  19. That is a bit over priced as they hand them out free at Tesco checkouts these days. Chocolate is more expensive in Thailand though.
  20. I am having fun anyway. I thought you would have been sending your hard earned off to those fake websites but it seems you have some sense.
  21. Chocolate in Thailand is about twice the price it is in the UK. Am I right or am I right?
