  1. Pilot, Rows 11 to 24 83 seats Check out, 'Best seats on Evergreen Deluxe' message and theres a link to the web site that gives seating plans for most airlines and their aircraft types.
  2. Opodo have an offer on for July and August to fly with KLM Edindurgh to BKK from £379, I didn't study the fine print but this may help our Scottish members.
  3. Try this one, missed out an' r' http://www.frequentflyer.oag.com/airlines_...rts/seating.asp
  4. To view a seating plan for Eva 747 combi go to http://www.frequentflyer.oag.com/airlines_...rts/seating.asp Then select EVA AIR then 747 Combi Also works for other airlines/aircraft.
  5. CheshireTom, I have been doing a bit of research and the story was fabricated, apparently the aircraft landed with some damaged fan blades(which could happen to any aircraft) and someone enhanced the story. However, wasn't that a China airlines aircraft that took off from the taxiway in Alaska last year, plus there was also the sad episode with the Taipei-HKG flight also last year. Anyway on to better things, that Singapore deal is excellent although I don't think I'll be able to utilise it.
  6. fishingtime, Sorry I didn'tmake myself too clear, I meant that if the aircraft was pretty full go Evergreen, but if the aircraft wasn't very full go economy because you can fold the arm rests. CheshireTom, Somehow I don't fancy flying China, their safety record leaves a bit to be desired, I think I read somewhere about a China airlines aircraft that had to divert to frankfurt because it didn't have enough fuel to reach Paris, the reason being that it had flew from Asia with one engine out of action. I forget the finer details but it was taped up or something, then on inspection in frankfurt
  7. CheshireTom and Fatboyfat, Many thanks for that great info, it is always a job finding the best deals for the right time with different agents. I imagine Eva deluxe is similar to Virgin Atlantic premium economy, economy is good if the aircraft is not too full because usually the arm rests fold up and you can stretch out. However Eva deluxe sounds good and not having to pay business class fare so I have some money left over to give to all those lovely TGs ;D
  8. Any UK members use Eva regularly? What travel agents /consolidators offer the best deal with Evergreen Deluxe, I tried the Eva air site and thats showing £1,300+ for later in the year. I quite fancy going deluxe but 1300 sounds more like a business class fare rather than a premium economy one. TIA
  9. Cheshiretom, Thanks for the info, do you use the same travel agent to book your flights or do you find it's best to butterfly? TIA
  10. baz, I'd love to go for three weeks but I don't think the Missus would be too keen and I might not have a job when I got back, I must start doing the Lottery. What you do sounds great, then you don't feel too stale with one place. [smiley=cheers.gif]
  11. Cheers for that Baz, I have only been to LOS once in February and had a great time(who doesn't?) I stayed 2 nights in BKK and visited a couple of MPs then 5 nights at Pinnacle resort South Jomtien. I got hooked up with a beach massage girl so I never sampled the Bar scene of Pattaya but I did visit with my TG one night. I will visit Pattaya again but next trip I fancy Samui, Lamai seems to be a little better than Chaweng, but if Lamai doesn't suit me it is not far to Chaweng. I like a nice quiet beach resort in the day and I'm not bothered about techno noise at night in the bars when I'm ou
  12. BT Many thanks for that info, is the Weekender in a good position for the bars and is it a quiet resort? ie;no techno music from neighboring bars or traffic noise in daytime. Was there anything that you didn't like or anything that was to your liking at the Weekender? TIA
  13. B T Any idea if the Weekender is guest friendly?
  14. SLH, Any reccomendations for accomodation on Lamai beach? preferably 1500-2000 baht per night with A/C, Guest Friendly, on beach, and must be Quiet! No techno or traffic noise. TIA
  15. Thanks for that info guys, I'll check it out when I come over later in the year. 8)
  16. Any idea if the Sabai Lodge is a quiet hotel or does techno music/traffic noise spoil things a little? TIA
  17. Stevo, Thanks for that, £8 it's not too bad, I just wondered if the tour company pays the hotel for a single if you then get stung by the hotel for a joiner fee when you go back at night with a TG!
  18. I flew Thai HKG-BKK in February in a 777-200, it didn't seem like 34" but may have been an old short haul bird. The staff were fantastic, I nodded off after the meal for a few minutes, and when I woke there was another can of beer waiting ;D
  19. On these special offer package trips from the UK it says based on two sharing, any idea how much the price goes up for just single?
