  1. Hi, They have held on to Sanchez, for now. It's all Arsenal in the media, they get a very tough press. If Wenger had sold Sanchez it would have been "how can he sell his best player" ? Now it's "why didn't he take the money" ? The knives are out for Wenger, I don't think he pays all the agents, barkers and touts the money they feel they deserve. He has tried to buy several players without success. He tried to buy Thomas Lemar from Monaco on the last day. If that had gone through, he would have sold Sanchez to City.
  2. Hi, The bugger should focus on the day job and win the title for City
  3. Hi, Midlifecrisis posted this on Garys Houston floods thread. Found this on Houston storm rainfall totals. There could be another two feet of rain. "According to the weather service, 16.07 inches of rain fell on Sunday alone, breaking the record for the most rainfall in a day in Houston. “It is the single highest daily rainfall total in city history. In the last two days, 24.44 inches of rain has fallen." http://heavy.com/news/2017/08/houston-rain-rainfall-totals-harvey-record-wettest-month-tropical-storm-allison/ Add to this that a dam upstream has been dumping water as it can't keep up with the storm.
  4. Hi, Fake News.
  5. Hi, Liverpool are the team of the week with a good win over a poor Arsenal. Chelsea have a nice win over Everton, while Fellaini ruins wacs bet with a late goal for Man Utd. At least I got my money back.
  6. Hi, The storms in the weather seem to mirror the political storms in DC. Civil war seems to have broken out among the "elite" of US. What lies ahead ???
  7. Hi, Spurs have a chance to get back on track with notorious travellers Burnley the opposition. Chelsea have a difficult game against Everton, who had to play away on Thursday, however. Arsenal would settle for a point in Liverpool. Leicester might be worth a bet on the Asian Handicap against a Man Utd team who have had 2 soft games and whose form may be overated.
  8. Hi, In England some of the Chinese places do roast duck and pork. Hard to beat.
  9. Hi, Denny Cordell helped make them. He was an interesting guy. They wrote a song after his early death.
  10. Hi, Seen this band for free before they were famous. It was obvious they were going to make it.
  11. Hi, I hope the officials give all the teams a fair go this season. Arsenal got lots of bad calls at Stoke and Man City had a player wrongly sent off against Everton. City got lots of bad calls last season and with Man Utd back with a chance this time it will be interesting to see how the officials calls the games. United tend to get dodgy penalties or a man sent off from the opposition if they are in a tight game.
  12. Hi, Spurs don't pay the big bucks. Some of their best players want to move.
  13. Hi, Champions Chelsea win a tight game at Spurs. Chelsea were well short on their best players but still beat Spurs. Well done to Conte. If Huddersfield can keep it up until Christmas they may be clear of the relegation dogfight.
  14. Hi, A low key weekend in the League with only Spurs v Chelsea seeming a good contest. Both teams seem to have internal problems at the moment. Huddersfield v Newcastle will be a good indicator, if Hudders win again they may be a team who will stay up. Man City v Everton is the monday game. Wac is very reluctant to bet very much at this early stage.
  15. Hi, Looks good. Very labor intensive to make, though.
  16. Hi, Huddersfield are the surprise package of the first round of matches with a good win away at Palace. Champions Chelsea seem a team with some issues at the moment and will do well to defend the crown. The Manchester teams both have good wins and could fight it out this season.
  17. Hi, Arsenal may do better than their fans hope this year. Most of the teams seem in a state of flux, with the exception of Arsenal and the 2 Manchester teams.Liverpool have Coutinho likely on the way out and Chelsea have sold Matic to United and Costa is on his way as well. I usually am a contrarian but think the bookies have it right this time. One of either Jose or Pep will be toast if they fail to win this year. I think Man City will win it.
  18. Hi, Arsenal usually lose the first game and fail to impress in victory over Leicester. At least they won and we were dancing like maniacs on the Holloway Road.
  19. Hi, The season kicks off this this weekend with Arsenal playing Leicester City. Arsenal have already claimed the first trophy of the season, defeating Chelsea in the Community Shield. Chelsea seem a team with problems in the background. Will Conte last the season ? Man Utd were outclassed in their game against Real Madrid in the Super Cup and Jose has a job to do to get them back on top of the league. Spurs will surely buy a few players before the window closes. Liverpool are in danger of losing their best player, Couthino. One cannnot be certain who wil be playing where until the transfer window closes and I will comment at that time. At the present moment Man City seem the most likely winners. Enjoy the season and I hope your team entertains you.
  20. Hi, Had BigD any input on it ?
  21. Hi, That seems a great idea. As I've said iinsurance can give you false sense of security when you are dealing with these criminals in Europe. I'd much rather pay a tariff on arrival in LOS.
  22. Hi, IME insurance companies are very reluctant to pay out, even on genuine claims.
  23. Hi, Chelsea win again and equal Jose winning record with Chelsea.Rileys must have been lively last night. We all have to congratulate Spurs for doing so well this season. They have spent much less than teams like Manchester Utd/City and Arsenal . Can they keep their team together and their manager will not be short of offers ?
  24. Hi, Just going to mention them. I was thinking if I bought a house I could rent out a few rooms to other low quality tourists to pay my expenses.
  25. Hi, Well done to Chelsea, Champions. It will be lively around Fulham Broadway on Monday night.
