  1. Hi, Man City are the team of the weekend with a convincing win against champions Chelsea. Spurs, and Harry Kane in particular, impress in the north, in what could have been a difficult fixture. Arsenal move up the table as Liverpool draw at the Toon. It looks like the Manchester teams will fight it out as there are rumours of unrest at Chelsea.
  2. Hi, Chelsea play Man City in the game of the round. City have Kun and Mendy out for a while so things aint going great for Pep.Still he has a strong squad and this should be a good game. The men from Huddersfield take on Spurs and the bookies expect it to be a win for Spurs. I might have a little bet on the AH on Huddersfield.
  3. Hi, There are some tough guys out there.
  4. Hi, I think Loy Krathong is the best time to go. Celebrated nationwide, Loy Krathong is probably Thailand’s most beautiful and enchanting festival. The word loy (or loi) means to float, whilst krathong are small rafts or baskets. Traditionally made from banana leaves or the bark of a banana tree, the krathongs usually contain a candle, incense and flowers. The person who will be floating the krathong will often take a small clipping of their hair or fingernail which will then be added to the krathong together with some coins. The candle and incense are then lit and a wish is made before the krathong is placed on the nearest stretch of water. It is believed that the krathong carries away bad luck and signals a fresh start.
  5. Hi, Arsenal prove too good for a West Brom team who can be difficult to beat on their day. We were dancing in the Coronet.
  6. Hi, Champions Chelsea are the team of the weekend with a big win at a ground where Arsenal lost and Man Utd drew. Man Utd get a good away win at Southampton while City slam Palace. West Ham bring home the bacon for wac despite losing 3-2 to Spurs. Gareth Barry makes his record appearance at the suitably grand Emirates Stadium tonight. He surpasses Ryan Giggs, who was a much better player, but Barry is a great pro.
  7. Hi, I backed West Ham for the first time last week and they won me a little money. I'm going to have another go this week as they play hot favs Spurs. They are around evens with a goal on the AH and 1/2 with a 1.5 start. Not a great round of games otherwise.
  8. Hi, Betting is legal in UK. Most people have no problems but a minority get addicted to what are called "FOBT's" and sometimes wreck the machines. One can see people(mainly Chinese) with thousands of pounds credit on a machine and a few minutes later they have lost the lot !
  9. Hi, The popularity of this place escapes me. Still, each to their own, and the Thai girls seem to like it.
  10. Hi, Palace must have been a massive price to have no points/goals at this stage. Roy Hodgson is not popular in the media after Englands defeat to Iceland. They could struggle. Brighton are even money to stay up(not for me) Huddersfield are 8/15 to stay up. Thats tempting even though you get little value in stay up/relegation markets.
  11. Hi, Man Utd have massive support all over the World. I feel they get a little help from their friends in times of crisis. It's in no ones interest financially that they are not in the shake up. Money talks.
  12. Hi, Arsenal get a deserved point at Chelsea. City and United get large wins. Huddersfield are unlucky not to beat Leicester and look to have a great chance to still be in the Premier League next year.
  13. Hi, I feel these are games which will have an impact on winners/demoted of the League rather than being the most entertaining.
  14. Hi, Chelsea v Arsenal is the game of the weekend. Chelsea have done well since their first day defeat and look likely winners. Man Utd are hot favs to beat Everton who seem out of sorts. West Ham might be worth a little bet on the AH after winning last week against a West Brom side who lost last week. Watford have started well but have a tough game v City. I'll be interested to see how Huddersfield do against Leicester.
  15. Hi, A temporary reprieve I'd guess.
  16. Hi, Rinus Michels and Alex Ferguson probably got lots of Dutch and Scottish managers of mediocre quality jobs in the top leagues. Owners think " is this guy the next Michels or Ferguson " ? Usually they are not. Bilic is a dead man walking IMO.
  17. Hi, Wac thought Liverpool and Everton would be involved in close games. Wrong. Chelsea have a good away win at Leicester, while Man Utd get a hard earned point at Stoke. Man City seem the big winners of the weekend with such a good display. Liverpool look suspect and Arsenal only defeated a poor Bournmouth team.
  18. Hi, One of my all time fav bands.
  19. Hi, The great Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull
  20. Hi, It looks nice IMO. It is very reasonably priced as well. I'm sure there is a market for their type of hotel. A niche market. The Atlanta is an old-fashioned place of charm and genteel character in downtown Bangkok with the secluded and secure atmosphere of a private club and the facilities of a small resort for sleaze-free and wholesome tourism. Run on conservative principles and imperiously heedless of fashions and trends, The Atlanta is untouched by pop culture and post-modern primitivism. Its style and atmosphere hark back to gentler and more cultivated times. The Atlanta is popular with cultured occidentals, with writers, academics, artists, cinema & theatre and other professional people, with dreamers and innocuous eccentrics, and their families, who can afford to stay at more expensive places but choose to stay at The Atlanta. A rescued dog that was at The Atlanta for many years but has already died was a very useful member of staff. It normally welcomed guests who walk into The Atlanta, but if the dog barked at the guest, it was 100% certain that that guest was going to turn out to be a trouble-maker. The dog was never mistaken – not once.
  21. Hi, Man City v Liverpool is the game of this round. City are very strong favs with the bookies. Lets see. Liverpool looked good against Arsenal. I'm having a small bet on Everton on the AH against Spurs. Rooney will be determined to put in a good performance after being denied a leg over by police intervention.
  22. Hi, I was tempted to stay a night just to see what it is like. It seems an unusual place in a quiet area. They might like my bow ties and bespoke shoes, but I'm sure they would have me out of there pronto.
  23. Hi, I don't think many of the young players have improved much under Wenger. Maybe that is why OX has gone to Liverpool, he feels Klopp will improve his game. Pochettino seems to have done a good job at Spurs in that regard. Overall, Wengers record at Arsenal is good. Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City have had more money to play with and Wenger has built a lovely new stadium in his time here. I remember when I first watched Arsenal at Highbury they didn't play very attractive football. We have seen some great football during Arsenes reign.
  24. Hi, Not all of us are cut out for marraige. Coleen looks a cut above the usual wag but it would be a shame for Wayne if she dumped him.
  25. Hi, I suppose he has lost the protection that playing for Man Utd buys. I hope he wins something with Everton.
