  1. Hi, The top players can decide themselves where they play these days alright. RVP gets less at United than he would have gotten at City. Press guys say Arsenal will struggle if they don't make the Champions League. Wrong. They have been struggling for years because they are not paying as much as Chelsea, in transfer fees and wages, for players like Hazard and Mata who Wenger wanted to buy.
  2. Hi, Spurs have entertained us this season. They deserve to make the Champions League. Will they be able to hold on to Bale ?
  3. Hi, Are you German ? I'm only winding you up.
  4. Hi, A good weekend for Manchester and it looks like the 3 London clubs are fighting over the other 2 Champions League places. Well done to Swansea for winning the league cup and to Bradford for getting to the final.
  5. Hi, I think the owners of football clubs have always been scumbags, with some exceptions of course. Now they are International rather than local ones. That's the only difference. http://hat4uk.wordpress.com/ Nowhere is this more applicable than in dealing with the wholesale meat trade. Manchester United’s Martin Edwards has family money amassed by his father Louis, who was a butcher. Bob Lord, the infamous former Chairman of Burnley FC, also amassed huge wealth via wholesale meat dealing. As a sector, it attracts villains, and always has: Michael (my original tutor in such matters from three decades ago) was an East End cockney who once quite seriously offered the services of people even he called “unpredictable” to deal with a particularly obnoxious crook in the advertising business who was giving me a hard time. When I declined, but asked what they might do to my bête-noir, he replied, “Wull, all depends what kinduv day they’ve ‘ad, dunnit?” He claimed the entire project would cost me “no more than a monkey”. It sounded like remarkably good value to me.
  6. Hi, Oh yeah, right.
  7. Hi, Liverpool. What a show.
  8. Hi, Money for nothing.
  9. Hi, Better than the bank...if she wins.
  10. Hi, I'm sure no one would object to a Scottish manager for England ?
  11. Hi, After Liverpools defeat last night, I think we can safely award the title to Man Utd. I'm happy for Giggs who is a great pro and RVP who carried Arsenal to the Champions League qualification spot last year.
  12. Hi, It's not British. It's not cricket .
  13. Hi, It remains to be seen. It looks like Man Utd have regained the title this year. Many of the top players had an off day yesterday after the International friendly break. I think a lot of them must have gone on the piss.
  14. Hi, The scousers were robbed in Manchester. Are Liverpool on the way back to the form that make them the biggest team in England on results ? Khun Aquero lands another bet for wac by scoring a great goal from an impossible angle. One of the best pros to have played in the League, quietly going about his job.
  15. Hi, Man Utd win a tough away game to go 10 points clear in the race for the title. Everton slip up against Villa to give Spurs and Arsenal hope of a Champions League spot. Chelsea are beaten at the death again.Harry seems to have a tough job of keeping QPR in the league as their opponents keep nicking points.
  16. Hi, After Man Utds lucky win against Southampton Man City really need to beat Liverpool to keep hopes of catching them in the race for the title.
  17. Hi, Atkins sacked by Southampton, Mario going back to Milan. What a shame.
  18. Hi, I think they are at their worst since Wenger took over. I disagree with Alan Hansen that de Gea cost United 3 points in their game against Spurs. I think he was Man of the Match and made several great saves that few keepers would have made.Spurs would have been 3 or 4 up if another keeper was in goal.
  19. Hi, Chelsea prove too strong for a spirited but poor Arsenal team.
  20. Hi, Liverpool seem to have it over Norwich as they give them another hammering.Suarez and Sturridge seem to work well together. Silva had a great first half of last season for City, maybe he will have a similar 2nd half this season and drive them to retaining the title. He has been below his best so far. Two great games today. Chelsea are better than Arsenal at the moment but there is trouble in the camp. Spurs will have a go at United today. Should be a game well worth watching.
  21. Hi, This plane was supposed to save on fuel costs. I'm sure it's saving lots of money for fuel when it's on the ground. Unintended consequences.
  22. Hi, Everything went wrong for Walters and Stoke on the day. Still, with Stokes home record it was a good win for Chelsea.
  23. Hi, I thought Liverpool could have nicked a point. United were hanging on at the end.
  24. Hi, Chelsea bounce back after a trying week. I think they are the best team in the League on their day. Beating Stoke 4-0 at home is the best result of the season. Big day today, Man Utd face a difficult game against Liverpool while Man City are away to Arsenal. Arsenal are the worst I've seen them in Wengers time, so I expect City to get a win at Arsenal for the first time in almost 30 years.
  25. Hi, Wild horses couldn't drag me on to a Nightmareliner.
